Patriot Pet 6" Bully Sticks, Natural Beef, For Dogs (6 Pack)

We ordered for the first time for our mastiff puppy and basset hound. It was a BIG hit! good to know the source of the cattle and that it is hormone free etc. I also checked with the seller re safety and they stated that their curing methods make for bacteria free bully sticks. Our puppy goes through them easily and it does smell. Would be better if they lasted longer - but it may work better for a smaller breed. We are waiting until other things fall into place to ensure that the chewing is humane to the household humans. It is after al, it is a bull's penis dried and cured. Wonder why another muscular part of the cow that is fully digestible cannot be used for pet chews. This takes using all parts of the cow to a new high;)). That might be a path to explore instead of making low odor bully sticks being they are what they are.

I have ordered these in the past except in larger quantity, this pack was just to fill in till I get my auto ship. I have to say this pack is very disappointing. These smell A LOT worse than the other two bags I have gotten. There is very few good sized ones so I basically feel ripped off. As you can see in pic, two of them are hollow. There were 3 hollow but I have given her one of them. I don’t know what to think. The quality I have seen is just not there. Now I am very concerned about the bag I will be receiving here soon. No where on the package does it say “grass fed beef”. I don’t want to feed them to my dog but they are her teeth cleaning tool otherwise I would def return. I will update this once I get my auto ship. :-(

Ordered these for my Pug as an alternative to rawhide chews. She LOVES them! Any she's quite the chewer but it takes a long time for her to get much off of one stick. However, they smell reaaalllyyyyy bad!!! We have come to the point where we leave them outside on the back patio so she doesn't play with them in the house! The odor was so rank it even made the carpet stink where she laid and chewed on it!

I have been buying a different brand of bully stick which I liked very well but they were expensive so I decided to try these.. The old saying "You get what you pay for" is true.. These sticks SMELL bad and are very hollow. You are basically getting a shell of a stick. Puppy seems to like them but just don't last very long.

My dogs love these! I have a dachshund and a bloodhound, and they are both professional chewers. It takes both of them about an hour and a half to chew these up. The reason I didn't rate them a 5 is because of the price. Since I have 2 dogs I can give them each one of these 3 times per week. That way it will cost me about $17/week. My problem is that these will cost me $17/week if I give them to my dogs at 3 per week! That is about $68/month just for bully sticks. Granted, these are very high quality and similar chewy treats are about the same price. I can find cheaper chewy treats at the grocery store, but the quality is questionable. So I'm basically having an internal struggle about whether I will buy these again because of the price. Right now I'm using these as special treats and mixing in the cheaper ones more often. Buying only these is just not sustainable for me. UPDATE: I upped my rating to 5 stars. I just found in the empty bag a note from the owner, Laura, thanking me for the purchase and inviting me to go to the website to sign up for a 15% discount on all future purchases. Awesome!

The dog loves it but the product is very foul smelling. I guess that's to be expected considering the composition of the bully stick but it is too smelly to give to the dog indoors. I'll save them for summer when he can enjoy it in the yard.

My dog likes them and the price is OK. These things can be expensive and sometimes when we get them at the pet shops, my dog will not like a few out of the pack for some reason we've never figured out. So far we've had good luck with these and less "duds" that he doesn't like.They are not huge - my dog is a 15lb Maltese, so they are perfect for him and will last him 3 days or so.

My dog loves it! Would love it too but it smells like cow poop :( have to sit a few feet away from my pup when he eats it because I hate the smell. Oh well, at least he enjoys it, which is the point.Edit: This company was very kind to me, and sent me a free bag of a new batch of their bully sticks. This new batch did not smell like the first batch did. The odor was no longer a problem.
