My 9 month old puppy bit through thr plastic connection the second time he wore it!! Maybe the leash is strong but where it connects to the catch is easily broken by a puppy’s teeth. Will the leash hold up with it broken? Check back later!!I got a second one and sad to say it lasted just 24 hrs before my puppy chewed the connector again. I fixed it with duck tape but in the end i need one that he cant chew. I hope the manufacturers will consider a metal connector instead of plastic, then it would be great.

Our 17 month old Lab pup has bit through countless other leashes. That WON'T be happening with this one !It's sturdy as can be and it doesn't tangle. We really appreciate the reflective aspect of it. The length is also just right-not overly long. This leash looks and feels like it'll last a lifetime. Goode value for the money !

Had an unfortunate experience with this leash, as you can see from the picture. The reason I purchased the leash was for that particular reason of it being supposedly "chew-resistant paracord". Let me start out by saying that the leash itself is wonderful in that it comes in a 6ft length, which is great....the handle is super comfortable and from the looks of everything, it is a very well-designed, well-made leash; However, Cooper had no problem chewing through the outer weave and making his way to the 10-strand INNER portion~he was able to chew through 5 of the 10 strands before we realized what that cute little stinker was doing :-) If you don't have a "chewer", this is really a fantastically made leash & I would definitely recommend purchasing one....my only gripe is that it is NOT chew-resistant as the description states.

I really like the leashes I bought; they do the trick. I’ve been a dog walker for over 10 years and I have a new puppy who bites on everything. After he bit through more than a couple of my leashes, I went looking for a leash that I wouldn’t have that problem with. This leash is what I use for him ALWAYS. He still tries to nibble but hasn’t broken through. Even if he did, there’s metal on the inside and he hasn’t been able to do damage to any of it. I would definitely recommend it if you have a ‘chewer.’

Buyer beware if you think this product is durable and has any hope of being near a dog that chews. 120 seconds and the dog was able to cleanly cut through this poor piece of fabric. Buy this for your cat but any other pet will be gone in a matter of seconds. Learn from my pain and stay clear of this product line.

Overall, I really like this leash, especially the handle - it is big enough to slip my hand through easily & still wrap part of the leash around my wrist to reign my dog in closer when needed. So far, my dog has not been able to chew through the leash part, though I’ve only had it a few days & I take it away from her as soon as we return from a walk. The problem is the 2 plastic pieces - one on each end. Within 2 minutes of grabbing the leash from me after our first walk with it, I heard a cracking sound: my dog had bitten through the one at the bottom creating a dangerous sharp edge. I wrapped it with duct tape. Had to do the same with the top piece a couple days later. Now she’s has started gnawing at the duct tape. A woman I met at the dog park has the same leash & had the same problem. She cut the plastic pieces off & I’m going to do the same. I don’t know what the purpose of those plastic pieces are, but if you are going to market this leash for chewers, they need to go.

Five-foot length is good for both dog walking control and freedom. Only shortcoming is plastic snap retaining clip covering rope joint at person end can come off if your dog if your dog pulls, because your fingers could rest upon the clip and a pulling dog exerts a force in the direction that could remove the clip. If the clip is lost, the plastic cover will slide to the dog end of the leash leaving the upper rope joint uncovered.

It is a nice looking leash but not safe and hardly reflective. Four times in two weeks the clip that attaches to the collar or harness detached and my dog was free. Thankfully my dog is well trained and didn’t go anywhere. My dog wasn’t pulling on the leash or going crazy which means the clasp opens up way to easily

I ordered this as my pup has chewed through a couple of standard leadsCurrently he hasnt managed to chew through this one although he has tried a couple of timesIt's definitely served its purpose and was a decent priceIt is a little heavy which was expected to survive puppy teeth and the clip is a little bulky, I would also prefer if the clip had a safety feature on it tooThe handle is quite big and stiff which is fine for general holding but if you need to shorten the lead during a walk the handle can get in the way a littleThe lead itself has a bit of pull in it and isn't too hard to wrap around hand if you do need to shorten it which is surprising considering the thicknessI would definitely recommend for dog owners who need a more durable lead

A strong sturdy lead with a soft handle, easy to clip on and off. For me it is a bit long (I am short) but you can hold part of the lead if you want it shorter and it is soft enough to do this

I bought this since it was a little longer than the usual 5ft and because it looked really nice, I was even more surprised at how comfortable the grip is. Will defo recommend.

Great sturdy lead and a great length .. used on a playful .. 12kg pup that pulls a lot.. had it over a week now and it’s had lots of use and all is good .. previous reviews were a bit off putting but good price so took a risk and more than happy .. favourite lead by far !
