Nikon COOLPIX L31 Compact Digital Camera - (16.1 MP, 5x Optical Zoom) 2.7-Inch LCD - Silver

This is a great camera - Lightweight and easy to handle. Delivery & packaging was good. The downside is the instructions which were in total French. Someone else who also got this camera received their instructions in Czech & Slovakian. Luckily, I found a site on the web which gave the instructions in English. Perhaps a booklet in several languages including English could be included instead, as is usual when buying electrical gadgets.!! This camera does not come with a protective case but batteries are included. Yes, would recommend this camera.

Excellent little compact camera. Very neat size and good picture quality. Excellent price. Why 4 stars? It comes without a memory card. They are not that expensive - could the manufacturer not have included one?

Great camera, easy to use, great results, I'm now a AA Fugi convert to AA Nikon.I never have and never will buy a camera that doesn't take AA alkaline & AA re-chargeables. If you’re out and about and your batteries die you are stuffed.Also, all re-chargeable batteries have a design life, when your internal battery expires (2-3 years) your whole camera will expire with it!

The camera can take some good pictures, however, at times it seems to take a while after the button is pressed to actually operate the shutter, this has lead to some pictures being blurred as it can lead to moving the camera before it has completed the shot.

let me down big time,bought this to go on holls to USA,and large memory card as special trip,had to seek help as told me memory was full very quickly,camera was saving my pics to its own internal memory not to the card,shop were so helpfull and downloaded instructions but not able to retrieve my photos so ended up having to buy a new camera,that was not in my budget so really did spoil my holls.so disapointed.now have useless camera.

Very disappointed with this.Purchased in 2015 and was initially delighted - a little annoyed that the claims about the anti-blur technology so you 'never miss a moment' were complete crap, but it still generally produced nice glossy 16MP results, so no complaints.Then towards the end of 2016, after we'd only had it a year and a half, we began to see the glitch message 'out of memory'. At first it only popped up now and then (and was untrue - there was plenty of memory left), and it still let us take photos, so we ignored it.Now it is all that happens when you turn on the camera. We have tried everything - replacement batteries, a different memory card, formatting the memory card, taking out the memory card - nothing. Just a permanent little BEEP! 'out of memory'. It won't even let us try to scroll through the settings - you click the menu for options, select something and BEEP! 'out of memory'. There's no way out of it.Quite irritated, really - paid £50 for this and really would have liked it to last at least a few years instead of just getting past the guarantee period and then glitching out. Really hoped the Nikon brand would be better than this. Do not recommend.

A small camera that is simple to use and takes good photos.

Only just got this little gem as I have no use for a mobile phone and wanted a simple "slip in pocket camera" and this seems to fit the bill perfectlyI often lug around a rucksack with 2 Nikon Dslr with vertical grips on both A few lenses, tripod etc when I am actively going out on a photograph session. I just wanted this L31 for that quick snap we all wished we capturedThis is a very simple point and shoot with the added ability to take short video.At this price I consider it a bargin.
