Lenox Dinner Plate Vintage Jewel, WHITE

After my divorce, I had the opportunity to select and purchase my first set of "good" china (my ex thought it was a waste of money). I selected this pattern in 1999 and purchased 8 place settings. Over the years, I've lost a few pieces, so I purchased another place setting to replace the pieces I've lost.This design is very classy but not "overly so." It's mostly neutral -- gray, tan, gold, beige -- with just a bit of cobalt blue (the "gems" in the design). It's very durable (mine has been used countless times for dinner parties), and washes nicely in the dishwasher (no extra heat; gentle "china" cycle; hand dry).I also have all the serving pieces except the tea pot. I know younger folks these days don't really want this kind of thing, but I'm hoping I'll find a good home for it eventually. It's such a nice pattern and so versatile -- can work with modern as well as more traditional styles.

I really love this pattern, but am on the verge of just returning most of it. In an attempt to complete my collection, I ordered a coffee pot and tea pot. The "new" coffee pot came in a trashed, taped up box with a defect on the spout and the replacement teapot's decorative band is off center... For a brand that is meant to demonstrate American made artisanship it is incredibly disappointing that their quality control is even worse than some china-made porcelain. I've also ordered place settings, and rimmed bowls that have come with scratches in the decorative scrolling...The picture of the decorative band shown above is the "replacement" teapot sent to me off center. The first one was worse with incomplete platinum banding on the top rim and some residual metal etched into the foot. So how am I supposed to get a replacement for the replacement...

The only complaint I have is that the packaging on the first shipment of this order was not adequate. Looks like the seller listened when I sent them feedback because the second time was a charm.This is Fine China and there was not enough protection around the set to make sure it didnt get broken... so just that happened. Fortunately, since Amazon has such a great return policy, the same day I received the damaged item I went through the easy return steps and got a new set in DAYS and sent the broken one back.This is TRULY an amazing set. It goes with almost any color motif. You can use it with Gold or Silver Chargers... it is so luxurious and for over half the price you see at major department stores. Definately worth the price. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this set. You have to see it ... so buy it

Arrived on time and was told that it looked better than the picture. Good price too.

I love the China, but the cup and the saucer were broken. The warranty information sheet is missing from both boxes I ordered from this company (Giftware Collection), so I have a suspicion that these are used.

I owned four (4) sets of Vintage Jewel Platinum-Banded China and wanted two (2) additional sets. This purchased item's were identical to the set I owned and cost 27% les than the same item in the local retail outlet. Great customer service and quality shipping. My wife and I love our newly acquired china. If you decide to purchase this Vintage Jewel China, You'll have no regrets.

Bowl was beautiful but I only ordered one because from picture it looks like two. Luckily I order early for a wedding and was able to get another one before I went to the wedding!
