15 years and still going strong!
I bought this in 2011 and I’ve never had a problem with it. This worked from the get go and still going strong! I’m in the market for a new pressure cooker though due to this one being very big and heavy and I’m just 1 person. I didn’t realize pressure cookers came in much smaller sizes else I would’ve bought something easier to handle. I can’t speak for the current versions of this cooker but for what it’s worth, the one I got in 2011 is GOLD.

Rubber gasket spoilt in 1 use. and no spare for this size.
Rubber gasket burnt in 1 use. And no rubber gasket in a 5L size sold by Prestige!! Avoid buying this.

Is this 5- litre?
Curiously, the cooker looked much smaller than other 5 litre Prestige cookers I have owned/seen. On closer viewing of the detail provided in the package, I figured that ttk has changed how they calculate the size!!!! -- it is now "the full internal water capacity of the Body and Lid in closed condition." Curious! So, people! .... be aware of this when ordering.

very food , works well for Indian cooking for lentils and channa .Easy to work and clean .Closes well ,good value for money.Not very heavy to use.Has no sharp ends.

Bad product (safety value blew in two days)
We have been using Prestige cookers for generations. The last one at home in USA i had bought it in 2010 and worked extremely well. It was old so my wife ordered a new one. Within few days of operation the safety value opened.There could be two reasons, one being actually there was a problem other being, which is most likely bad design. We used it in normal conditions as we have been using for decades. I am shocked to see bad quality from Prestige cooker. Now i ordered three spares
