Steelwater AMSWEL-530 2 Hour Fireproof Home and Document Safe

I did extensive research before buying and decided that this safe was the best in the market for the price point. I am delighted that everything has turned out to be exactly as I expected. The quality is excellent for home use, the set up instructions were easy to follow and their customer service function stayed in touch until the safe was delivered to our garageWe purchased the safe in July but I held off until now to post this review in order to see how the safe performed with active, daily usage. No problems whatsoever, everything works as advertised.I would have no hesitation in recommending this safe and company to friends looking for a secure safe for home use.

Not as advertised."Four Solid Steel Locking Bolts" - False. There are two static bolts that appear solid, while the other two are 1/8" thick bent/formed sheet metal, hollow. See for yourself in their second-to-last image. Those seams in the locking bolts are a result of the formed sheet metal.As advertised, the claim is "Reprogrammable user codes (4-16) digit combination electronic Keypad". This is also false. Per the instructions, "Enter new personal code 4-8 digits long")Finally, please look at what's behind the black plastic on the inside of the door.

Bought this safe to store a few hand guns, documents, and gold. Communication with the seller was excellent. I requested they deliver on a certain day and they worked it out with the freight company to fulfill my requirement. Came exactly as described. Delivered on a semi truck; the driver helped unload and took the pallet back with him, even though he wasn't required to. The electronic lock unit is made from plastic but it doesn't feel too cheap. The only compliant I have is that the shelf pegs and the shelf itself is made of plastic.

Safe just arrived. The delivery service was proactive, excellent to work with, and unloaded the safe from the skid and placed into my garage. My son and I used a small hand truck to get it into the house, and two people can get this safe up or down a stairway (if you are careful) by moving it one step at a time. We placed it in our basement, up on boards. Instructions are simple, the quality is impressive and we are extremely satisfied.

Very disappointed with this product. Ordered this product back in July 2017. It was an expensive product and it worked for the first 13 months. We needed to change the batteries due to the lock screen was blank,. We attempted numerous times with various batteries and still, could not get the anything to appear on the screen, we did hear some beeps..even attempted to put the code in without a screen..NO SUCCESS. We needed to get passports out for a trip.. We had to call a Lock/Safe SMith to come to our house, was finally able to open with "strong batteries" but the SafeSmith said that there is an internal problem and it would be too costly to repair. We attempted to call customer service Steelwater Amswel-530..NO RESPONSE. Now were are out $400.00 and NO Product. The Kelly's

Arrived perfect and is every thing I hoped for with the exception that it should also have a key entry as well as the combination. This safe has a hige fire rating but what happens to the digital combination lock during a fire?

Exactly as advertised and great quality for home use. I had it installed into a concrete floor and the installer used a longer bolt.

Everything I asked and more, good size, sturdy, 2hr fire protection, and no keys!!
