Great Yard Addition
Wow! Perfect for the job! We have a tall orange tree which is loaded with fruit. We needed this tool to get the ones towards the top. Easy to put together and use. Good value for the money.

I should have bought this sooner
Not sure why I was hesitant to purchase this, but it has worked beautifully. With all of the attachments (for length) on, it does get a teensy bit heavy after a while of picking fruit, but I'm willing to trade sturdiness for lightness in this case. We've only used it one season, so we'll see how it holds up, but so far, I am anticipating we'll have it a while. Easy to put together, easy to use. And very effective - able to get those high apples easily. I also like we can disassemble the whole thing and put it in a bag for easy storage in winter.

Nicely made, works well. Bent end wires are sharp
Have used only once and only partially assembled. It seems well designed, mine came with a handy cloth bag to hold extra extension pieces. The basket attachment to the end of the pole seems sturdy although a bit improvised. The foam pad to protect apples when they fall into the basket is a nice touch. The ends of the bent wires on the end of the basket are not properly rounded or protected, so there some danger of damaging fruit if you're not careful. It wouldn't be that hard to put wire protecters on the end if you (or the manufacturer) knew where to find them. Perhaps there is some reason they are omitted. As with all of these type of pickers, the tool can get caught if the tree is not pruned thin enough, or if you are trying to get closely packed fruit on a single branch. Overall, I am very happy with this, not only for overall length and adjustability, but ease of use.

Awesome 13' Fruit Picker!
I am so happy I purchased this picker! We bought the 13' and I love that it's adjustable for so many sizes. So far, I've used it on our tall orange tree, the oranges are very large and the picker basket is quite heavy weight, depending on size of oranges, I can get 2-3 in the basket at a time. I was able to get to the top very easily. I shortened it to be able to reach in through the branches.. I had to be careful of the thorns but I was able to get in at the right angle. It worked great! No more thorns piercing my poor flesh! I can not wait to use it on our fig and avocado trees that are both incredibly tall. This is why I wanted the 13'.. add my husbands 6' frame + additional for arms length, this should really be able to reach those previously impossible heights. Sadly, we have had so much food wastage in particular with the figs.. the birds get them first or they over-ripen and fall to the ground.Regarding ease of instructions for attaching the basket, it wasn't very clear but my husband had no problem figuring it out. As far as the poles, they very easily attach.. just push down a little and turn to tighten.. perfect! I take it apart when I'm done and it fits in the little bag that comes with it. The basket attached with the first section doesn't fit in there as is but I have it handy right by the bag so it's easily stored. The quality of the picker is excellent, in my opinion, and I expect it to last for a very long time especially with proper storage.I would recommend this fruit picker 100%An updated note.. when used on my figs, I found it too harsh.. I would not recommend them for figs, I think a smaller basket but for the avocados and oranges, perfect!

Perfect for picking papayas!
Easy to put together. At first I was using the “claws” to try to pull the fruit down but I was damaging the fruit. Now I use the smooth side to dislodge the papayas and it works perfectly. The only improvement I could think of was that it could be 1 section longer to help when the papaya trees get taller, but it is sufficient for my needs now.

18" sections fit in small box
Box was completely inadequate to ship this. Box was opened on both ends. Post office had to try to fix it. All of the parts were in the box and it assembled very quickly. It's quite long and seems sturdy. I am happy. If I was a profession fruit picker, I can't say if this would hold up to daily use. For me it is perfect. I have one avocado tree in the yard. Best year for avocados for me was this year.!

very very difficult to put head on pole
Would be a 5 star if not the 40 minutes of frustration putting the catcher head onto pole.Put together, limited concerns, although the key/metal tightner is a bit difficult to screw in. Then headkept popping off when first using..... Stopped as had enough oranges LOL. Thought about it during day, then maybe I was using wrong connection pole. BINGO! They have a pole with a very tiny hole with a tiny screw and very tiny hex locking nut to attach the catcher head to pole. ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to complete with one person. Was a terrible nightmare IMHO. I am far from helpless. Done similar man-lee work (LOL) 1000s of times before. Directions not very good either, maybe my old man eyes, was difficult to comprehend picture as well. Once together, which now is. I believe will be a semi fail safe product. Am sure will need to tighten bolt after each use/often, with the teene tiny small microscopic hex tool they provide. Again, due to difficult attachment concerns for me, is a 3 star on a 5 star product.
