Lost Souls
Some individuals get the idea that you have to follow their rules, but they do whatever, or whomever they choose, and that was C.J. He started off at the bottom, but he slowly made his way, with the help of some dirty cops, and the closest ones to him. The streets ruled out any type of loyalty and love that he had for his lady. C.J let the money and the women get the best of him, and he thought that love would maybe everything better, but it didn't. He kept putting Tamika in neglectful situations, and whether he knew it or not, he did more damage, than good.Tamika loved C.J with all her heart, and he knew it. The streets were his weakness, and her weakness was him, and the material things. She was a good woman, however, she lost herself along the way. The loyalty, and love that she gave C.J just wasn't enough, because he wasn't ready. Tamika's only mistake was using men as pawns, when C.J abandoned her. The one mistake that she made, may have cost her her life.Sparkle, or Keyundrah, needed to love herself, before she loved anyone else, but she didn't. Raheem was her air, her life, her everything, and drugs were her way of dealing with the pain. Just when things were going well for her, the guilt that she carried, made her relapsed, and once again, she lost everything. Now, she felt that she didn't have anyone to live for, so she lost her will to fight, or to survive.Raheem was everything that C.J wasn't. He wasn't just a street thug, but one with so much potential, with intellect, sensitivity, and drive. He wanted a degree, and he was different from the rest. He didn't use women as toys, or take advantage of them, and his word was bond. He tried to warn C.J, but he didn't preach to him. Raheem loved Keyundrah, he loved her for her, and he loved that she loved him, however, he tried to make her a better woman. He didn't want her to be lost, and he reminded her of what she could be, what she should live for, but he couldn't do the work for her. This novel reminds you not to mistreat people, and to not take anyone's love for granted. It's a novel that anyone can relate to.

absolutely amazing
I have read quite a few books by this author and I must say they are all very good I couldn't put this book down CJ was very loyal yo raheem I loved they friendship this is my first book where friends remain loyal to one another but he was beast in the streets he didn't let nothing get past him but I hated that he loved Tamika so much that he was willing to stop seeing kids raheem was very loyal to CJ whatever he can do for him he did he was laid back but not to be messed with he wasn't a snitch he took his sentence like a g he really did love keyundra and it broke his heart that she ended up back on drugs I didn't like that she had committed suicide that really broke his heart and Tamika I really believe that she was a gold digger at first and then she learned to love CJ cause she took so much from and she was hateful that he made twins by a white and she didn't accept it what would have happen if the girl was black and then she got with bard and trained him to take over the game I think she was doing that so he can take CJ spot and the night at the club when she went back to CJ she embarrassed him and she thought it was over she got her family killed cause of her being stupid she should have stayed singlecause she know how cj is he wanted his cake and eat it too but I would highly recommended this book cause it will not disappoint u Mr cash I must say u are a very good writer keep up the good work looking forward to reading more books from u.

Thugs Do Cry!!!
This book needs more review because it was excellent!!! I love all of Cash's books, and he always deliver a banger. This had me from page one. Raheem and CJ are best friends who his both determined to make that paper. Raheem was the smart dude who went to school and was determined to have a career in journalism, but when trouble came his way his school dreams came to an end. CJ on the other hand was determined to be the top dope boy in Newark. I didn't like CJ because after seeing his little sister get shot and killed, he turned around and did that same thing to a seventeen year old innocent girl. He had no respect for women and turned his back on his kids. I'm a guy and I'm not criticizing him for not being faithful, but when it comes to your kids, be a man and take care of your responsibility. I don't have respect for dudes who don't take care of their kids. Tamika was very trifling and what happened to her was very sad, but you can't play games with people and think it's sweet. But I still felt sorry for her. She should've stayed with Nard because I believe he would've treated her better than CJ will. And I have a feeling in part 2, CJ will be on the same thing. Raheem is a good dude though, I actually have a lot of respect for homie. He did what he did, but he had a good heart and he loved Kayundra a whole lot. It was sad for her too. Please check this story out, you will not be disappointed. All the innocent people getting killed really got to me, but that's what makes me love this story even more because I felt like I knew these people.

Not my cup of tea
At first I was drawn to the language, but it quickly became tiring and after a few pages, I found it plain vulgar. Not to mention the womanising trend. Could appeal greatly to some readers though.
