Does the job very well
I use this for melting pewter and casting trinkets and buttons. It's a lovely little pot that heats quickly and evenly and suits me perfectly.

Good product
I bought this to solder nipples onto throttle, brake and clutch cables on my old motorbikes and it works perfectly. Just make sure you let the solder get hot before you use it and let it cool down after you have use d it

Temp setting is difficult
Burnt one out cause I turned it on high. These work very well, saves a lot of time tinning the wire ends. Makes life very easy. Make sure you do not set the temp too high. I use an old spoon to scoop the slag out. When tinning wires, wipe the resin off otherwise you will end up with a large crust. Bit of tin foil & spoon is reused all the time, also saving on the cost of more solder. I have 2, 1 large the other small. once you get the temp setting correct it works very well.

Does the Job @ 25% of the Cost of a Lee Pot
The first "Melting Pot" stopped working after a short time, however this was replaced very quickly, great customer service. I have used the "MP" for a year now, I use it to cast Lead Alloy which it does well. It's great for casting small batches for testing the BHN (Hardness) for the Alloy. The "Prince" could definately turn into the "King" of small "MP's"!!! (Sorry could not resist).

Breaks down easily
Very good but it broke down less than a year after purchase and no longer heats up.

Good stuff
Perfect, excellent value for money, and the fact that it'll hold 1kg of pewter is really useful. Heats it all evenly, much easier than trying to judge with a torch. Very useful bit of kit for casting.
