Garrett Outdoors Catfish Combo (Big Water 808 ON 8FT HI TECH OL Whisker Rod)

Well I would like to start by saying the reason I only gave this 3 stars is because I never got to try out the rod or reel.The rod came broken in the box but there is a very good reason for this.So I open the box and the rod is wrapped in bubble wrap and wedged into the box. I finall get it unwedged, pull it out and immediately notice about a 5 1/2" piece of the rod is broken and loose in the bubble wrap.That's when I realize this rod would have never fit in this box to begin with.Even the broken rod (as you can see in the picture) is to long for this box. I may not be the smartest person around but there is no way a 7' rod is going to fit in a 6'6" box without being broken first then wedged in.Hopefully they get this packaging issue fixed for everyone else and use a bigger box!Good luck
