Breyer Freedom Series National Velvet Horse and Book Set Book Series | 1:12 Scale Freedom Series Horse | Model #6180,Black and White

Bought this for my daughter and she loves it! It looks exactly like Black Beauty in the movie (which she is obsessed with) the paint quality is perfect, there were no chipped or flaky areas. And it came with the Black Beauty book which I thought was a nice touch. It will definitely hold up to child play and I’m not worried about it breaking. I will definitely be buying from Breyer again. Definitely worth what you pay for and if you have a horse obsessed kid like I do they will love it!

This will make a horse collector smile , my 10 yoa loves this book & horse, It is well made and durable. Age coudl go from 2 years old to adult , it is a beautiful horse

I really liked this model. I've had her for a few months now and she's holding up very very very very well. I've played with her quite a lot over these past months and she's barely even gotten a scratch on her. I completely recommend her to any breyer horse collector and lover. She is a beautiful Mustang Appaloosa Horse, but the only thing about her is her eyes were cross-eyed when I got her. I love her anyway, and just letting you know Western classic bridles do not fit this mold very well at all. I totally do recommend her though and I rated her 5 stars because she's a really impressive model the shading out her is amazing. Looking at her right now the shading is super good especially around her withers and flank her hooves aren't that detailed which I would like them to be but that's okay. They don't have the frogs inside of them. She has beautiful shade in all over her and her man is beautiful shaded as well she has a lot of overspray on her tail but I don't really mind that too much she has pretty crisp spots and markings. The only thing that I would like to see improved would have to be the tail. It looks great and all but there's a lot of over spray and it's not very well done to be honest. It's also very rough on the tail there's lots of bumps that don't belong but that doesn't really matter to me because the rest of the model and the great shading makes up for it. Recommended! And she's held up so well there's barely a scratch on her over these past five or so months. I love this model!!

Attention to detail and well colored. Makes a nice display piece. This is a medium sized horse suitable for older children (8+) and is suitably built for that age range. It is a resin type horse that is hollow and light weight. With the added book this is a great gift and a wonderful value for your money.

This Breyer horse was well made and my granddaughter loved it. She did drop it and it held up great.

Mine came opened even though i bought new, which is the only reason its getting 4 stars. The Breyer and book didn't appear damaged.

I used to collect the Breyer horses as a kid. How I wish I still had them. My granddaughter loves horses, and these have excellent quality and detailed features. Sadly, the selection for starting a collection for her isn't what it used to be, or I would buy more. I will likely buy more since they are perfect for horse lovers. They are uniquely different, and the quality is the same as it was 50 years ago.
