I’ve usually been a multi tool snob. Leatherman, SOG, Gerber etc. but this time I wanted something for my 72hr kit that was relatively light weight, less expensive but not lacking features I’ve come to find necessary in a tool. Tried a couple of duds then I buckled down, did my research and ordered these three to compare. Out of fairness to the sellers I’m going to rate them all 5 star because they’re all nice and functional in different ways but I’ll run you thru a comparison and why I made my final choice. So here we go… The Pohaku is the heaviest at 8.3oz and I really wanted lighter without going to a mini tool. They call it 11 in 1. I’d say that’s generous. More like 9 in 1 realistically. It’s very bulky/chunky. Pliers do not have replaceable cutting blades. Only the knife blade locks and the belt case, while it does have a snap, is the lowest quality material of the 3. The Workpro is the lightest of the 3 tested tools at 7.7oz and has the nicest belt case with semi rigid form and a snap. The tool has very “full” handles. Still a little bulky for my needs. Only the knife blade and saw lock. Pliers have a gritty feel and have non-replaceable cutting blades. Workpro is also a little overstated at an advertised 11 in 1. I’m calling it more like 7 in 1 useful. Finally, my choice as the keeper of the group. The Htaiaym 15 in 1 tool weighs in at 7.9oz. For the extra .2oz over the Workpro you get the smallest form factor of the 3 tools tested and what I’d legitimately call 11 in 1 useful tools plus the carabiner clip and includes scissors plus replaceable blades on the pliers. Perhaps most importantly, EVERY tool on the unit locks! Lastly the belt case lacks a snap but is otherwise nicely made with a velcro closure, piped edges and elastic sides. I’m keeping this one and while it may not go head to head with my Leatherman, I see nothing in it’s build to suggest it’s not a quality tool and all three of the reviewed tools were priced under $20. While It might have been true at one time I don’t think you have to spend Leatherman money for a decent tool these days. Hope this was helpful.

What if leatherman skeletool but with just a few more features? Voila the pohaku. So it is well made and well finished. For the price it covers all the common needs for a multi-tool while adding some nice quality of life design changes to the skeletool paradigm: the pliers are springloaded with almost no chance getting your skin pinched when closing the grip. The plier is swapped to the opposite side away from the knife hinge which makes for a cleaner layout. It adds a saw, cord/seatbelt cutter, and file: the saw is rip tooth draw type. the file has single teeth on one side and double teeth on the opposite side. The fingernail cutout to open the file is a little shallow and hard to reach. The seatbelt cutter is the real standout. It is a double sided edge with what feels like a hollow ground. My main complaints are the liner lock for the knife being not prominent enough when you try to release the lock to close the blade. The file doesn't have enough clearance when closing and tends to rub against the frame. The file/saw/cutter/flatdriver/bottlecap opener just use the camming tension to hold in the open position so it isnt a solid lock. It is very wide for a multi-tool with such a minimal set of features. The powder coating is a little slick and could cause problems for wet hands. While solid it is on the heavier side. There is no side clip or carabiner loop so you are obliged to use the pouch. That said, it is a very solidly built tool and the functional edges/teeth are high enough quality that i would have confidence in using them. Certainly better than most of the other $15 multi-tools out there. It isnt a leatherman skeletool, but at 1/5th the price it is good enough and not likely to fall apart in a year. be advised: the screws holding it together are a mix of torx 6 8 9. so if you want to take it apart for cleaning or maintenance you will need at least the 6 and 8

My boyfriend is in the military and I got this gift for him for our 1 year anniversary since he lost his first one ! He absolutely loved it!

I got this marked down 30% and wasn’t expecting the world at that price, but what I got was worth the regular price anyway. I didn’t have any of the problems others mentioned: the unit was fully functional, no grinding, no difficulty with the locking mechanism, everything perfect enough. I was able to operate the blade one-handed. No idea yet how long the belt loop will stay on, but I won’t carry this much anyway. The blade isn’t the best quality nor does it have the best edge (and a ceramic rod didn’t help much) but it works OK. The pliers and other tools are a little small. It lacks several favorite tools from Swiss Army knives such as scissors can opener corkscrew tweezers and the like, but it has a much more dangerous looking hunting blade and workable pliers, in a smaller format than that pair could otherwise be. The rope/seatbelt cutter will cut things a scissors couldn’t. There is no window smasher but I have one on my Raptor clone. I would say in general this is a backup piece and priced accordingly, nice to have on hand in a pinch. If you have a habit of losing things then it could be a cheap EDC option. A bit big and heavy but sturdy as a result. It does nothing very well but a lot adequately. I hit the logo with a sharpie a few times to make it look much cooler.

I like this multi tool a lot, what's really nifty about it is that you have the traditional plier design, but you don't have to unfold everything to get to all of the attachments like the file, bottle opener, line cutter, saw, Phillips head, and blade. The additional benefit is that the blade is very large compared to what I've seen in the past on multitools, so it is truly a well versed multi tool itself. Comes with a nifty little carrying case, and it is very pocket friendly. Some of the attachments are a little tight to open up, but it is new, so I expect that should loosen up a bit as well over time. All in all, I like this a lot. Highly recommended!

I bought this for my attendant for his car. With winter coming, no that’s not a reference to the books or movies, I want to make sure he is safe when traveling. This is part of the survival box I am creating for him. The tool isn’t one that I think could withstand daily use and abuse. Those are far more expensive and not something I would leave in a car long term. This one is perfect for emergencies. It has what is needed. I tested the individual tools and they are secure and don’t wiggle. The knife needs sharpened, I will have my daughter do that. It has an edge but it’s not great. The knife is the only tool that locks in place, other than the pliers but those are different from the other tools. The locking mechanism is tight. Like tighter than a miser’s pocketbook. You practically need a tool to move it. When you do get it to move be careful not to close the knife on whatever appendage you used, you have been warned. The pliers are part of the handle and the whole thing feels hefty and sturdy in your hand. The tool weighs 8.3 oz without the case. The case seems to be stitched well but knowing my son and daughter, both are contractors, it wouldn’t last long, but they are really hard on equipment. If I was using this case it would probably last the rest of my life. The other tools are hardish getting out but not bad for me because I have long nails. Not the kind of long nails that are scary to think about having if they belonged to your obgyn not chewed off either. Now my attendant doesn’t have nails, his are chewed off, but he was able to work with this and get the tools out. Also since this will be in the car if needed he could use his keys as a tool to get the tool he needed from the multi tool. I just wanted to say tool that often, what can I say I’m getting older and the little things amuse me. All told, good toot for emergencies but if you want an everyday multi tool you will have to increase your budget or just buy a lot of these.

I chose this knife because the blade seemed bigger than others like it. I like all the features, but I am disappointed in the knife. It's hardly sharp and takes quite a bit of sawing to get through more than basic twine. It has potential to be a great tool.

The knife is what I wanted to be very durable and light weight I really enjoy the product would buy again
