Love this camera!
Researched several different cameras before deciding on the Samsung Galaxy camera EK-GC100. Seriously considered the Sony Cybershot DSC-HX50V, but I was concerned that the menus would be too difficult to navigate "on the fly". When I finally saw the camera in person at a local store, I was immediately hooked. The big, beautiful screen is amazing, and the touch screen interface is super easy to navigate. (This is coming from a diehard iPhone user with no experience using the Android operating system.) The button that releases the pop-up flash was defective on the first unit that was shipped to me. Because the order was fulfilled by Amazon, they authorized an immediate refund. I ordered a new camera on Saturday evening and received it on Monday. I was very impressed with Amazon's customer service. I was able to download the most recent version of Jely Bean, which added 4 additional shooting modes, for taking pictures of food, snow, etc. I hope that additional features will continue to be added as the operating system continues to be upgraded. Connecting this camera to the internet is a breeze, too.

I'm sure I'll love it with time!
My mom got this camera and I fell for it! but once I bought it for myself I was content with it, not super excited like I thought I might be. I think I just have to learn better use it and I think one of the major draws of the camera is it's ability to use the sim card and be connected and I don't do that, I only connect at home on my my wifi. I also think my expectation were a little to high, I own a DSLR and although I got this camera as my always in my purse goes with me everywhere I go I was expecting DSLR quality and it's not, it's a point and shoot camera with a lot of cool features that I have yet to master. And like any point and shoot (actually every camera) it takes much better pictures outside on nice sunny days, in the dark not so much or I've had a hard time taking non blurry actions shots even when taken in that setting. One of the features I love about the camera is it's recording. It's easy to switch between the 2 settings and as mom I love being able to go back and forth snapping pixs and recording my lil one. All in all, I think it's a cool camera I just wish I knew how to better use it but that will come with time and practice.

Great internet camera
I love photography and I bought this camera as I liked all the nifty settings like best face, night shot etc. I bought an unlocked one as I live in New Zealand. I'm pretty happy with it, the price dropped dramatically when the second model came out. I found the photos although not so sharp as an SLR, still pretty good. I tried night photography adjusting it manually good as well. If you are wondering what results people get with this camera have a look on the flickr group for this camera. There are some great shots there. I bought a second camera as my teenage son commandeered the first one I bought. I think it will be a good travel camera with the internet connectivity.

Really cool gadget.
Very happy with my purchase, functionality is great and picture quality is what it should be at this price range. Having the option to save pictures to Google drive or Dropbox or immediately sharing is excellent. It is not the best camera, but considering all the extra functionality it is a great package. At the $300 range it is a very sweet deal. One consideration, whatever the stated memory is, consider half of that is unavailable, it is used by the system, so get a memory card.

Good Camera But Poor Samsung Tech Support
I bought this camera after reviewing it at Best Buy. But wanted to save some money and found one on Amazon, refurbished. It had lots of problems and I should've returned it…but it's too late now. I think it was hastily repackaged without checking it at all. Missing 8 GB internal Simm card, wrist strap connection was broken. Amazon did give me an additional discount for compensation. Later found out that the camera DOES NOT recognize ANY internal simm card (software issue) and without this feature you can't upload or share photos with others and the WiFi settings are not available also. This camera has the capability to talk with Samsung Tablet and Galaxy Phone. Went on vacation and took lots of beautiful pictures. Contacted Samsung Tech Support but they just gave me the run around. Buer beware, buy new not refurbished.

I would think twice before ordering ANYTHING from AVSolution.!!
I ordered this camera Sept 26 received it pretty fast Oct 1st 2013.. Which I was very impressed and excited to receive it. As soonest I opened the shipping box.. I was NOT HAPPY AT ALL.. the camera box was crushed from three of the corners and all safety seals on this camera had been already opened. So beware.!! The camera itself looked like it had been used. The color on the camera was off white like some one handle it, with dirty hands. Charging cord looked used also, the camera manual looks old and used. Wrote three emails to the seller and, they haven't bothered to write back or take resposibility. FYI Amazon please band people like AVSolution to sell anything on your website... :(

the camera is very nice, s bit slow
the listing said unlocked, but when i went to T-mobile, i was unable to activate service. which means the camera i got wasn't unlocked.. c'est la vie beyond that, the camera is very nice, s bit slow, but it does something that few other cameras can do, interact with the internet. the manual capabilities are unreal for a point and shoot =D

Surprisingly great package overall
I was completely suspicious of this thing before I bought it —at this price point I could have invested in a Canon Rebel series but my wife insisted on getting this. As I read the specs further, I was impressed by the array of social sharing options and the 21x optical zoom lens. I bought the Samsung camera and I am fairly impressed with the thing, for what it is: A consumer-friendly touch-heavy camera with some prosumer hardware. Pros: — Fast CPU and Android OS gives you a bunch of flexibility and apps! — Huge, bright screen give you the full view of everything the lens can see — 21x optical zoom; it doesn't get much better than this on a consumer camera! — 1080p video with auto-focus and zoom while shooting! — 4 fps photo mode at 16 MP; impressive capture speed (I'm using a 64 GB Class 10 SDXC card) — Wi-fi, Bluetooth, GPS geotagging, and cellular data Cons: — Horrible ergonomics for pro camera users (it takes some getting used to) — Daylight and action/angle shooting is tough when depending on an LCD screen — Color: Camera tends to push red and occasionally crush dark tones — Micro HDMI port is on the bottom: Very clunky for setting down to hook camera up to TV for viewing — Syncing with Mac OS (iPhoto) can be a pain. Android File Transfer works better than Kies to get both photos and video off the camera. The camera's OS does not properly follow DCIM protocol so it requires third-party software to be recognized on the Mac.

I have just bought this camera so that I could send photos directly to friends from the camera's internet facilty and it hasn't disappointed me in that. It comes with an micro broadband sim from three.co.uk but comes with a pay as you go tariff of £2.99 per day or £10 per month for 1 GByte of data. The phone and broadband was easy to set up and the HD screen is just brilliant. I have taken some great still photos and impressive videos so far as I've tought myself to use it. Everything seems intuitive and using the broadband app (internet) connection I was able to watch YouTube clips, play with google maps and try out the Satnav' so very pleased with my purchase. One thing I did find confusing was the Messaging Application. The Messaging only works to mobile phones and if you attach a photo to the message text it takes forever to send. Far better to attach photos to an email and send using your the broadband application on the camera. Three.co.uk offered me a £12 pm contract for 200 texts and unlimited broadband but will stick with the pay as you go until I get used to the camera. All in all a great bit of kit and am sure I'll get lots of pleasure out of using it. Finally the accessories like a spare battery + battery charger, camera case, HDMI adapter for TV, 32GB microSD card and Screen Protector Films are all inexpensive but adds another £65 or so to your purchase
