DownNdirty Outdoors DND Haint LT Gobbler Call

I hunt in NW Florida on public land. I have this call and the regular Haint. They do make a decent gobble but you have to be ready to put some time in to get the hang of it. And, don't expect this to be some magic wand for killing turkeys. I have yet to see either have any appreciable effect on the birds I hunt. I talked with a former SC resident on our opening weekend who was totally frustrated with the FL birds and how to hunt them. He said the birds in SC are so stupid that you typically only need to wave a jake fan at them in a field and shoot them from under it as they run in. Saw him later in our season and he showed me a picture that one of his SC buddies had sent of his 2 gobblers killed within 15 minutes of each other on SC opening day. Neither of us had even taken a shot yet. So, make sure to use this on stupid turkeys. It may have little or no effect on truly wild (and very wily) turkeys.
