Fit is fantastic and very sturdy!
I like the housing, it is aluminum and very sturdy. I have already dropped it on concrete twice (accidentally) and it protected my gopro 8 perfectly. I would purchase again.

Excellent replacement door
This is something that I had to have. I'm trying to into motovloging and this was a great investment. It fits my GoPro hero 9 perfectly. The tiny door on the side made it easy to plug in my microphone. Would recommend.

Solid protective case, but mounting holes are too large
Very study case, has definitely saved my GoPro on more than one occasion. I use the GoPro to record volleyball games from atop a 7ft stand that isn't stable enough to withstand a direct hit without knocking over. Before using this case, I lost one GoPro completely and had to replace a cracked lens cover on another. With this case I've not had any troubles, and it's taken more than a few beatings onto concrete floors. As some other reviewers noted, however, it's not completely secure when mounted to a standard 3-finger GoPro mount. The mounting holes on the case have a larger diameter than the threaded screw that attaches the case to the mount. This allows the camera/case to wiggle a little bit and prevents it from standing straight up on its own. It will lean maybe a degree or two off of vertical until the inside edge of the larger hole moves up against the screw. This is fine for my usage, where I need to tilt it further anyway, but be aware. It's kind of dependent on the mount also, since some have fingers that are wide enough to produce enough friction to hold it in place. Most of the plastic mounts I have don't have this issue (friction holds), but when I use a metal mount (such as any of the cold-shoe adapters I have), this problem is very obvious.

Good frame, no tripod mount
This DOES NOT come with a tripod mount. Based on the pictures I thought it did, should’ve read the description. Don’t appreciate the false idea of a tripod ready mount from the photos. I wouldn’t have purchased it if I realized that to begin with but plan on keeping it regardless.

Works perfectly
Works perfectly and holds camera firm. When I first received mine I put the camera in the case, closed the door and it physically wobbled around. Then I realized the screw on top of the case has a little rubber pad on the bottom and you tighten the screw down on your gopro to secure it so it doesnt wobble. I put some blue thread locker on the bolt so I wouldnt have to worry about ever having to adjust it again. Also if you're using a foam windscreen, you'll have to cut out a hole in the top for the mount to go through, otherwise the windscreen will get stretched all sorts of weird ways and won't do its job right.

Good case.. very sturdy under rough conditions
Good solid case for the hero 8. Can’t wait to try it out on my bike and helmet. Still has room inside for screen and lens protectors.UPDATE: My GoPro fell off my motorcycle while inside this case. The case took some damage, but the GoPro was completely unscathed. I thought the case was going to Need to be replaced, but I bent the pieces back and it’s good as new… minus a few character adding scratches and dings.
