My Dr recommended this brace, really helps!
Works well! Better than I thought it would. Went to this after wearing a splint for a month for a old injury I never let fully heal according to the Dr. He recommended this wrist brace, gave me a copy of the amazon info even. He's a great Dr so this must be an excellent brace! I like it, less intrusive to my daily routine than the brace and still supports my wrist no matter what job I'm doing.

Extremely helpful
As someone who has ulnar impact syndrome and a TFCC tear, this wrist widget has helped me a lot. I’ve been wearing it almost two months and while I still need surgery to repair the damage, this brace has helped me get back to normal life. It has helped with stability where I don’t have any anymore. I can lift things and use my wrist almost like I used to. Easy to wash in the washing machine and it air drys well. My wrist is pretty small and it fits well. It was easy to figure out how to put on correctly. For the first week or so I slept with the brace on because I was hurting so much so it’s not uncomfortable. Now I have funny looking tan marks on my wrist. I also want to note that this compresses your wrist where it should and where a hand brace can’t. A hand brace is tight around the hand and farther up the arm. And this lets my hand be free and able to grip things where a brace stops you.

Definitely works, but pricey for what you get
Knocks my wrist/hand pain down from an 8 to a 3, so I'm a big fan. However, like other reviewers noting the high price, I agree. Genius design, but the makers are printing money on this thing that costs about fifty cents to make. That said, definitely worth it.

Healed My Rock Climbing Wrist Injury
I was hesitant at first when I saw this product. I rock climb indoors pretty often and injured my wrist on a route I was working on. A few days later, one of my friends at the gym had one of these and let me try it out and it helped a lot. I immediately went and bought my own and wore it for everything requiring my wrist (basketball, pickleball, climbing, weight lifting, work, etc.) for a few weeks until it healed. I don’t know how such a simple product can make such a difference but this was such a great purchase. Being able to continue being active while actually healing my wrist was amazing. Make sure that your injury is able to be helped by this first but if it is, I recommend this so much.

Effective enough, but not very comfortable
For context, I am male, early-thirties, fairly fit. My use of this device is to aid recovery and prevent injury during activity. As is characteristic of many support devices which actually work, the WristWidget does its job but isn't particularly comfortable to wear. The structure of my wrists is such that I have sustained TFCC injuries in the past. They are triggered during lifting, and exacerbating while hiking using poles. The WristWidget's design is targeted to avoid the specific issues many other wrist braces have - they are too soft to provide real support, or put pressure on the styloid. This brace avoids all of that. The velcro is strong, secure, and has very little flex, and you can feel the support it offers when undergoing heavy activity. Why three stars then? First, it's uncomfortable, and needlessly so. The hard edges of the velcro cut into the styloid (on the hand-side), and the material on the inside of the wrist is merely more velcro, albeit the loop side, not the hook. This could have been avoided through adding a layer of softer, padded material on the inside of the brace. If this was twenty dollars cheaper, the current design would be understandable, but for the price it is sold for, such a cost-saving measure is not really justifiable. Second, it is only partially effective. I have found it to be useful to wear so as to avoid further injury and to aid in recovery, but the pain is still there and it doesn't do much to relieve stress placed on the wrist. I suspect that such would not be possible, outside of using a hard brace, but I'm not sure. It definitely helps relieve the pain associate with pressing down with the palm, which makes it useful for avoiding those little shocks of pain TFCC injuries tend to produce - but it isn't quite as effective as they purport. If the gap was wider, and the bands slightly wider (probably), that might be better. They have a wide version, and I might need to try that one instead. Despite these two things, if you have TFCC issues, I would recommend trying it. It is certainly pricey for what it is, but it isn't pricey for what it does, assuming it works for you.

Climber life saver
This is allowing me to heal and rehab much quicker. Personally don't suggest wearing them without injuries during climbs though. It is supporting so well that you can't train your tissues up.

Highly recommend the Wrist Widget
I ordered my wrist widget just over a month ago when my wrist (ulner side) was so painful, I was thinking that I was going to have to give up or take a very long break from my favorite game of Pickleball. My wrist has been problematic for months and I have tried two other wrist braces. The wrist widget that I originally ordered was slipping and so I did what some of the other reviewers advised and I contacted the company. Wendy responded right away and sent out the XS Wrist widget which when I used with tape, fit perfectly. In a short period of just a few weeks, my wrist feels 90% better. I can't explain how it works but I am so happy to be playing pickleball again. I do wear it everyday and always when I am playing. The other reviewers were correct about the customer service being phenomenal. I do highly recommend starting with this wrist brace. It is a bit more expensive but you will be buying it eventually after trying all the other braces.

Sharp, scratchy, and extremely disappointing especially at this price point
My doctor recommended this brace and I just received it today. Have only worn it for a couple hours and it is so uncomfortable I do not think I can keep wearing it . The edges are so sharp they are scratching my wrist up. don’t know how people wear it. The price for what this is really is outrageous. It is two pieces of Velcro ties with attached to a rectangular piece and it’s all hard Velcro that they cover partially with softer material that won’t hold up. It’s already starting to pull back on the one part so know the rest is going to be the same and it has only been a couple hours. Extremely disappointing as everyone said this is the brace to get. You can see it already separating in the pictures and the scratching it did to my wrist. I guess I’ll try to work with a trainer to tape it instead.

Would recommend
I have suffered from RSI related pain on the thumb side of both wrists for more than 20 years, but about 18 months ago I experienced a really sharp pain on the ulna side of my left wrist (when turning a door handle that I didn't realise had been tightened!!). I strapped it up with one of my many wrist supports I already had and rested it as much as possible. The pain pretty much went away, but a few months later I experienced exactly the same pain (this time from turning he shower knob!!). Out came the variety of wrist supports again for another couple of months. Pain lessened, but never went. Twisted it again on the shower knob a couple of months later! Did some research then about ulna sided pain and came across the wrist widget. (you may ask at this point why I didn't visit my doctor, but that's a long story involving many years of frustration...). Thought I'd give it a try, even though it was a bit pricey Well, at first the pain worsened for a couple of weeks, but then there was a low but noticeable improvement. I wore it 24/7 (either just got it wet in the shower, or wore a plastic bag over my arm. Didn't want to risk the shower knob without it on!!) After a few months I would say the pain had pretty much totally gone. It was at this point I realised I'd actually been wearing the thing the wrong way up for all those months!! The instructions are basic to say the least, and even after watching the videos of how to put it on I has somehow been getting it wrong. I had the harder side against my skin, and the softer side outwards. Ok, I know that seems daft, but it seemed to follow the pictures...I was wearing some "underlay" underneath to stop it scratching too much. So then I started wearing it the right way round, just for security really as the pain was pretty much gone (with the other issues I have with my wrists. it was hard to tell definitively which bit was hurting...). After about 6/7 months I weaned myself off it, and went cold turkey with no strapping. This lasted a glorious couple of months, then some pain came back, not really sure what caused it, thumb or ulna side, so went back to some general strapping. A year on from buying it, I am back wearing it again, but again it is really just for security. Having had 20 years of RSI issues, it kinda feels weird not having strapping on, so I'd rather wear a small inconspicuous thing like this and feel happy. I can report it is still going strong, not too tatty, velcro still holding. Wear it 24/7 EXCEPT in the shower - I am now braving turning the knob very carefully! So although £20 something sounds a lot, I have had my money's worth I think!
