Is this a cheese suitable for the specific carbohydrate diet? (scd)

I purchased it because the description said it was suitable for SCD. When it arrived I noticed it has 4g of sugars and was doubtful. I researced online and became more doubtful based on comments and reviews but could not find anything definitive. I decided not to chance it and stick with my Friendship brand Farmer's cheese which is quite a bit more expensive but has only 0.5g of sugars and is SCD suitable. I have used Friendship for 2 years without issue.

What's the consistency? Is it spreadable (like cream cheese) or is it more of a soft block?

Greetings Tamara, Actually it is somewhat like pot chees,e an old fashioned cheese that has a very small or virtually no curd. I would say that the consistency is more like cottage cheese than cream cheese. It scoops out of the container very easily. My favorite ingredient for crackers and making croutons. Mares
