I ordered this sugar bc I needed Swedish pearl sugar for a recipe I wanted to try for Swedish Chocolate Slice Cookies or “Chokladsnittar” from ATK. This sugar was a great value, I didn’t need a huge bag just a reasonable sized bag for this recipe and it arrived quickly. Cookies were delicious and this sugar looked great and adds the loveliest crunch to the cookies. Extra perfect item for holiday baking too!

Prato sugar is a coarse crystal used for sprinkling on top of breads, rolls, etc. I have seme Finnish and some Swedish recipes that call for it, and regular sugar just does not have the same appearance or impact. For example, it provides an unexpected pop of sweetness on my low sugar Pulla.
