A kitchen must have!
I had been looking everywhere for a butcher’s block but couldn't find one near me so I decided to order it through my trusty friend Amazon. The block arrived unassembled in a box but putting it together was very easy. It is very heavy! It’s so gorgeous! I ordered the 24 by 18 block and it fits perfectly in my kitchen. I oil it daily with boos oil because it’s new and I want to make sure it doesn’t crack. One thing I would recommend is to be careful when hammering in the wood splints because I split one of the legs a little when hammering in the wood splint. Thankfully the leg didn’t break completely just a little crack. The block came with coasters. If your getting one get one with coasters because it’s heavy to move around the kitchen. The block had a little dent towards the bottom of one of the sides but it doesn’t bother me. I like the imperfection.

What a quality piece...just gorgeous!
This beautiful block was delivered on time and boxed perfectly. It was 18 x 24 which I think is a minimum size you should go with. Very easy to put together. It fit my small kitchen perfectly and immediately enhanced the entire kitchen! I had a few great knives to put in the slot and it was ready to go...very heavy but that adds to the look and the charm. Great investment and easily worth the price.

Solid
Extremely heavy and well made in the U.S.A. It quickly became a favorite workstation in the kitchen.Easy to maintain. It's been a great addition to the kitchen. 1st thing out of everyone's mouth when they 1st see it is, "Wow!, followed by something like, "it's beautiful!" or "where did you get it?"It really is a very nice piece of furniture. It's very heavy. 150 - 200 lbs?Paying the extra $20 to have it delivered all the way into the kitchen was worth it.

Amazing Cutting Block
This cutting block is simply amazing! Well made, well thought out, solid as a rock...well, piece of wood anyway. If you are going to want to move this around in the kitchen area, I would highly recommend putting wheels on the legs. There are many options but I will simply say that spending $25 at Lowes is a good investment. Nice 2 1/2" no mark swivel casters work well. Don't try and use the stem version. Also, make sure that you use the wood wedges when installing the legs. They may seem tight at first but after a little movement, they will loosen up a bit wihtout the wedges. Happy cutting!

Heirloom Piece
I absolutely love my Boos butcher block. It's functional and beautiful. This will be an heirloom piece. My only issue was that it had a splintered edge at the bottom of one corner upon arrival. I reached out to Amazon and the process to return was convoluted and not worth it. We turned that edge in the direction where it's not too noticeable. As for the Boos quality: TOP NOTCH and worth the money.

Nothing Like The First One
This is the second, and most recent, block we’ve purchased. It’s cracking all over the place. The other one (same size) purchased last year is fine. We’ve had this one just a few months. We use the oil and cream on all of our wood pieces. We have quite a few Boos cutting boards as well. All of them are great and seem to be lasting but this table is definitely NOT. And we’re not meat eaters so the most force exerted upon it would be trying to get through a squash. To say we’re disappointed would be a big fat understatement. This is not an inexpensive purchase. If you’re considering investing in one of these, perhaps give it some serious thought.

Beautiful
Almost perfect. This is a beautiful piece, as I expected for the price and considering the brand name. Fit together perfectly. Exactly the right size. I love the beveled edge. The coloring is beautiful when oiled. Packaging was in good condition when it arrived. Disappointed the lower back corner of the block wasn’t properly finish like the other three corners. The edges were left rough and a chunk was cut out. There is some discoloration, also. Since it can’t be seen from the front and does not impact the functionality, I will keep the piece and enjoy using it for years. This damage resulted in my overall four-star rating. I did expect perfection when buying a legacy piece from this well-known company at this price.

Quality butcher block
Everything that I expected. High quality, easy to assemble. Customer service was helpful. Block was delivered without the screws for the knife holder. Customer service is sending out the screws today. Great addition to our kitchen.
