Ok, I've only used the "bright red" leash twice, but i'm extremely happy with my purchase. The Red color is vibrant and visible from two blocks away. I walk my dog every night and my old lite leash died. All I can say is the leash charges quickly, and works as advertised. If you are looking for a bright, well made dog leash - look no further. Oh, I forgot to mention, whats kind of cool ps the leash lights up in two sections. I light the upper half with a constant color and the bottom 3' flashing red. It gets your attention.I've used this leash for 8 months, I love it. But with all products, especially electronics, 1/2 of the lED section on one end quit working. I contacted the seller, included a description of my issue and a photo, and one week later I have a "new" replacement LED leash at my front door. I would give the leash another 5 stars and the seller 10 stars - good job!

UPDATE: After speaking with Illumiseen, they noted a possible issue with my leash and replaced the defective once. They were incredibly responsive and helpful.From a safety stand point, the leash is fantastic! Multiple people have commented on how bright the leash is and how visible it is during morning and evening walks. When I use the leash in the morning, cars stop 10 yards before a crosswalk so that I know they have seen us. Overall, the leash provides great visibility and safety. Thank you for the great customer service and help!Original: When the LEDs work, the leash is great. A bit pricey but you're definitely visible. Our issue is that the 6ft leash has 2 separate LEDs and 1 of the 2 appears to have a bad battery pack or loose wire. On a walk the LED will be on and working, then all of a sudden it's off, a few more steps it's back on, then off, and so on. Disappointed that after 1.5mo of use (0-2 times per day) and $25 spent only 1 LED functions properly.

I had this leash and matching color for two years before the LEDs started having issues charging. After contacting the company, they graciously sent a replacement and we're back to being complimented every time we go for a walk in the evening; and I don't worry about getting hit by cars as much!

It is extremely hard to find a 6-foot light-up leash. Most are 4 foot for some reason. This is my 3rd Illumiseen leash I've purchased because of that, and because I prefer the EL wire lighting design over the multiple LEDs that dot other leashes. The first two Illumiseen leashes I got stopped lighting up or had wiring issues with the LEDs after some time. The first one lasted quite a while (maybe 9 months?) before having issues with the wiring of the LEDs starting to short out. It was the green leash, and was by far the brightest.The second one was the yellow leash, and it was garbage. It was not bright, and the wiring shorted out on one section about 2 months after I bought it. By 6 months, it wouldn't charge or turn on.Now, hopefully this red one will last longer than both...but we will see. I am actually surprised at the brightness of the Red LEDs. I figured it would be dimmer than the Yellow, but it's not! I'm happy with the brightness, plus it looks like my dog belongs in TRON!I will say, the material it is made out of is very strong and sturdy. I have no worries the leash will break or unravel, or the clip will come undone. It is quite firm, though, so don't expect to be able to curl it up to store it. With the EL wire running down each section, that isn't advisable anyway. I just wish the wiring of the LEDs matched the quality of the leash itself.One thing to note: there are two sections that have to be charged, not one. It comes with a specific charging cord, since the connection is not a normal/universal connection to the LED. I purchased a charger that had 2 USB outputs in order to charge both sections at the same time. I'm glad I did, because it saves time.The charge lasts quite a long time, so that is good. I walk my dog every night, and I typically only have to charge this about every 9- 10 days.

I absolutely LOVE this product. This is absolutely worth each and every penny. My dog is a rescue from a shelter. She is incredibly skittish, so I need to take her for walks when there is less chance of her getting scared. That's not easy when you live in a thickly settled district like the suburbs of the North Shore in Massachusetts.Walking at night was always a scary prospect for me, even if it made her feel more comfortable. Being able to have two strings of bright blue light that extend from my wrist down towards the leash of my dog (which is also another Illumiseen product that glows with light) is an actual LIFE SAVER.It has three settings: a rapid flash (that I honestly feel is too rapid for use in a city where flashing blue lights might evoke a very different response from my neighbors), a slow flash (perfect for walking at night to warn cars that we are there), and a constantly on function.As an added benefit, it really lights up the ground around my dog so she can actually see where she is peeing. And where I'm stepping...I've also had this item for about a month now and I use it each and every night for a 20-30 minute walk and it has YET to need to be recharged. I'm still on the first charge. THE BATTERY LIFE IS AMAZING!I love this product and I would, and have, recommend this product to everyone I know. You should get this product for your doggy too! Or boyfriend. Or both!

UPDATE: One year later...my 6 foot green leash is still lighting our way at night and the battery still holds a charge for a long time. My golden retriever is now 18 months and 60 pounds and this leash is still holding strong. I get lots of compliments on it. Should this one ever fail, I will immediately purchase another. The leash is only lit on one side, but the green is really bright and shines through to the unlit side so we are always seen. The nice thing about the 6 foot leash having two separate sections for lights is that they have never both run out of a charge at the same time, so I have never been left in the dark on my walks.I would highly recommend this leash for anyone who walks their dog at night. I purchased the green and it makes you HIGHLY visible from very far away and should keep you and your dog safe from cars on dark nights. I used this on Halloween and many asked where they could get one and commented on how far away they could see us. The clasp and leash are sturdy enough even for a larger dog. I have a 50 pound golden retriever 6 month old puppy who was VERY excited with all of the Halloween festivities and pulled a LOT (full out sled dog at times) on the leash. Both the leash and my hand held up well. The loop handle is padded and was surprisingly comfortable even with extreme pulling. The recharging is very easy and it lets you know when it is fully charged. This leash does have TWO charging points due to its length, so remember to charge both ends. From handle to clip, the leash is 6 feet long. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this in September, and my expectation was that it would last at least a year with two 20 minute walks a day during which I use it. This is December. I have not abused it; it has never gotten wet, never been in the wash; it is charged regularly, and lives on a hook inside my house. But now, 3 months later, one of the switches simply no longer works. So while I can turn off the LED lights on half of the leash, I cannot turn off those on the other half --which means that half must be charged daily. Of course, there is only a 30-day guarantee, so at 90 days, I am out of luck.Honestly, I am completely fed up with purchasing products that have their obsolescence built in. I hate the waste. The product is not expensive. but, in my experience, these leashes last no more than one season, and then they must be thrown away --simply adding to our mounting amount of garbage worldwide. But, this one lasted only 3 months.It would not be that hard to build them with decent switches as it is always the switches that go bad. Apart from the wastefulness, it is annoying, expensive and inconvenient to keep replacing a leash. I've tried multiple brands. This one has been the worst, lasting only 3 months before breaking. It is not durable and has the most inconvenient design-- with not one, but TWO switches that can break and both of which must be charged with their own cables. So, no surprise, one if them stopped working.

I was drawn to this product because it came in several colors. Certain colors are more noticeable at night, so I wanted to try out a couple different ones. The company's Amazon site was somewhat flawed, as several times, I selected a color and tried to add it to my cart. However when I checked my cart, the wrong color was there. In fact, when I received the order, there were two yellow leashes, while I thought I had ordered a yellow and a blue. It was as if there was a preferred default built into the site. It may have been a fluke, but it was annoying, and I had to do a return.Compared to another lighted leash I purchased elsewhere, I counted 4 design flaws on this Illumiseen leash.1) The handle's fabric is very stiff with no padding. My preferred leash has the same shape handle, but it is not as stiff and the handle is padded with a soft material. (see photo # 3)2) The charger is a problem. The leash has an older style round female end tucked behind the rechargeable battery pack. When I tried to disconnect after charging, that female end pulled out and was very hard to push back in. While it was out, it was more susceptible to physical and water damage. Even pushed back in, it would be easy for water to work its way into the charging hole while on a walk in the rain. The other end of the charger was a USB connector. That means if you don't have a computer or other USB port available easily, you'll have to buy some other adapter to recharge the leash. (see photos # 1 & 2)3) While the leash is charging the only way you know it is actually charging is to darken the area and see a faint glow. I consider that a design flaw. I'd rather have an indicator light the glowed one color to indicate it needed charging when you plugged it in and another when the leash became fully charged. I have the latter on my preferred leash.4) The Illumiseen leash lights only on one side. The other side not only has no illumination, but also has no reflective stitching or tape that might allow some lighting at night if you used a headlamp as I do when I walk my two black pugs at night. (see photos # 4 and 5)My other leash has illumination on both sides, and even one illuminated side has reflective stitching. The charger is a micro usb on the leash, cover with a plastic cover that is seated well over the area, giving better protection from the elements. When you need to charge the leash, that plastic cover swivels out, but is also fastened to the leash. Thus, when charging is done, you can easily swivel it back over the micro opening to protect it. However, it also has a USB connector. I'd rather have an AC plug. Compared to the Illumiseen my other leash has sturdier material, which is also more flexible, and, as I mentioned above, a padded handle. When I charge this leash, it has a small round light that turns red when you first plug it in, indicating that it needs charging. Once fully charged the small light turns yellow.The pricing of the Illumiseen leash vs the other one is comparable, but my preferred leash is much better constructed. The only advantage the Illumiseen has is that it offers multiple colors, while my preferred leash only comes in red and green.Note: Attached photos #1 and 2 show the different recharge ports on each leash.(Yellow leash is Illuminseen). #3 shows the padded vs Illumiseen unpadded handle. #4 compares the non illuminated Illuminated side with the illuminated side of the other (both sides on the green leash light up) with reflective stitching. #5 The one illuminated side on the yellow leash and other illuminated side of the green leash. You can also see the difference in the quality of the materials used in each leash. Both leashes offer three types of illumination by clicking the light switch each time you want a different one.In summary, because I have small black pugs that are not easily seen at night, I need both an illuminated leash and some sort of collar that also lights up and flashes. While the Illumiseen does ok as a leash, I do NOT like that one side doesn't light up, nor does it have any sort of reflective tape or stitching. I also find it uncomfortable to hold (I usually use the yellow leash on one pug and the green one on the other) while walking the two simultaneously. I would suggest that they improve these features, since the cost of both these leashes is the same.

120㎝でフレブルには、ちょうど良い感じです、明るさも眩しすぎず暗すぎず、金具もヒモも丈夫そうな感じです。ヒモだけだと光る棒を持ってうろついてる様にも見えなくも無いかと思ったので、首輪も同じ色を後日発注しました。充電式ではなくボタン電池か乾電池式なら良かったんですが中国製の充電池ですからソレなりかなと。

大型犬の散歩用に購入しました。まず耐久性ですが、使用2ヶ月でLEDが発光しなくなりました。満充電状態で確認を行いましたがNGですので、完全に壊れてしまった様です。明るさについてですが、なんだか頼りない明るさです。加えて写真では解りづらいですが、LEDの発光面は片側だけです。従って視認性という面ではかなり不安があります。ハンドリングに関してですが、リードの素材が堅く、常にクセがついた様な状態です。大変持ちづらく。これでは快適なハンドリングを行う事は不可能でしょう。また素材は頼りなく、大型犬を繋ぎ止めるには不十分の耐久性と感じます。海外からの評価もあり比較的高評価な商品ですが、なにゆえここまで高評価なのかは疑問でしか有りません。個人的にはとてもオススメできる商品では有りません。このレビューがみなさんのご参考になれば幸いです。

Works as a leash, very bright. No place to hang a treat bag or anything, but I would by again.

Bin super zufrieden mit der Leine. Schade ist nur das man die Schlafe zum festhalten nicht verändern kann, z.Bsp.: vergrößern oder ähnliches. Gut finde ich das die Leine in 2 Abschnitte aufgeteilt wurde. So das wenn ein Abschnitt mal nicht mehr leuchtet somit nicht gleich die ganze Leine als komplett Defekt gilt. Länge optimal. Leicht in der Handhabung. Ladekabel für die Anschlüsse ist mit dabei. Ob es Wasserfest ist, wird sich noch zeigen. Regen macht der Leine nix. Leicht zu säubern mit einem Feuchten Tuch. Auf jedenfall ein hingucken. Andere haben schon gefragt ob das leuchten "echt" wäre und wo man sowas findet. Würde ich wieder kaufen und dann in einer anderen Farbe 😊✌.
