Delta AFB1212GHE-CF00 is a incredibly high air flow, high speed cooling fan that requires a lot of power - 39W maximum. If you connect it directly to the motherboard's 3 pin header please make sure the 3 pin header can provide 39W, otherwise we suggest you to power fan from a power supply, or a fan controller. This fan will be very loud at full speed but you can purchase a fan controller to control its speed. You can search on for Lamptron Fan Controller models such as CF525, FC2, FC3, or Fanatic which have enough power to handle this particular cooling fan. This fan comes with a 3 pin header with a 3 pin to 4 pin molex cable adapter + a 3 pin 1-wire header so you can power the fan from power supply and connector the 1 wire (speed sensor wire) 3 pin connector to motherboard for speed monitoring purpose.
