I bought this late Dec 2023. I never got round to leaving a review until now- 2 and 1/2 years later. The radio is good. Nice sound and volume. Just recently when I turned the volume control up or down the jump was inconsistent. I carefully removed the 5 screws at the back and carefully hoovered the dust in the case and around the volume control. I am back to owning a properly functioning radio. I am happy. It is a pity that I can only give 5 stars.

I was looking for a replacement for my old Roberts DAB radio, after it was dropped one too many times and stopped working. I'd found a few on Amazon that looked promising, but chose this one based on its size and ease of use. And so far, it's lived up to all my expectations.The radio arrived with a small amount of charge in it, allowing me to set it up straight away. On first switching it on, it performed an auto tune, successfully finding all the DAB stations. I was able to quickly and easily save my favourite stations by scanning through the channels, then long pressing the appropriate button on the front (1 to 6). Once set up and ready to go, I left it to charge completely and I'm pleased to say that after daily light use (around 1-2 hours per day), it's yet to be charged again over a month later.Overall I'm happy with this radio. Sound quality compared to my old Roberts radio is no where near as clear or crisp, but this is £40 cheaper than that one, so I'd fully expect that. On the plus side, it's much lighter than my old Roberts radio and the station buttons and volume control are much easier to use. It takes a little longer to find the station it's tuned to when first switching it on, but once it's found it I've never experienced any interference or loss of reception.For the price, size and build quality I'd definitely recommend giving this radio a try.

I have had a small DAB radio for a long time and use it a lot. However all that use took it's toll and it became unreliable and most importantly hard to turn on and off. I had had it apart a few times and got some more months of use out of it but in the end decided to replace itAmazon is awash with DAB radios of this style and size, but I selected this because it was at least designed and developed in the UK. And also by chance was reduced in the 2023 Black Friday event. I was keen to try and support UK manufacturers if I could and this was a small way to do soSummary of the radio - easy to set up - did it without the manual. Tuning was fast to get all the stations. Easy to assign favourites (again without the manual), and quite quick to start making a noise from the power button press - ~ 5 seconds.Opportunities for improvement - it's very light and feels easy to knock over (especially with the aerial extended that raises the centre of gravity), and I think the volume could be a bit louder - I need to have it a max volume to hear whilst I am in the shower (and the old radio was no where near the same volume setting)So far the first battery charge has lasted a longer than quoted I think so a bonus as wellHappy with purchase so farUpdate after more useThe battery life is not as good as I'd hoped and I have to charge it more often than I'd hoped and more than my previous DAB radio. I've been refurbishing my garage over the summer for 3 days a week for a number of weeks so have been using it seriously 8+hrs a day and depending on the state of charge on Friday morning I've had to charge it twice over the weekend which is a bit disappointing. No issue with anything else already written above but the battery life is a let down for me and I've changed the rating to 4 as a result.Still happy that there's a greater element of UK content though as it's designed here even if made in China

Great little radio I use when in the garden. Gets good reception, nice and light to carry around. Has good battery life and lasts me all day when pottering around gardening. Recharges quickly.

Chose this portable, lightweight DAB/FM radio with some trepidation...but I need not have worried as it's really excellent value and holds its charge for several days! After purchasing from Amazon a 5V 1A USB charging plug (the box only included the radio and the charging cable) I set it up for the first charge which took around two and half hours and then it was ready to go.The presets were, as many others have said, a little tricky at first. Not the first five presets on the top of the radio, which were easy (once I sorted out the order I wanted the stations in!) but any additional preset stations you require (from 6 to 30) using the "Preset" button on the bottom row of radio.After you've selected the 6th station you want to 'store', you 'long press' the "Preset" button for the "Preset Store", click the up-button until you get to no. 6 (which will say 'Empty') and then click the 'Enter' button to store it...your 6th station is now stored! Repeat this process to store/preset further DAB stations from station 7 to 30. Then, to 'recall' stations you've Preset from 6 to 30, simply 'short press' the same "Preset" button, clicking the up-or-down-button to find your additional preset stations. Then press'Enter' to hear it.The sound quality is excellent for such a small radio...clear and not tinny. The display is clear and organised. The only complaint I'd have is that the lowest volume setting is too high which other reviewers have commented on...it needs to go even lower! Perhaps the manufacturers will take note...9½/10.

Sadly we have had to return this radio. We chose it because of the big and simple buttons as this radio is for my elderly Dad, but we are simply unable to get it to pick up BBC Radio 1/2/3/4 or 5 Live. Other radios in the house are fine and have a clear reception, so it must be this one. Very disappointed.

Good little radio. Not as loud as others I have but fine for bathroom with shower on. Takes a bit of time to start up on digital setting, 8 seconds roughly to tune in after turning on. Ok after that. Seems sturdy with rubber coating. Picks up some digital stations my other one doesn't. The internal battery is good, lasts a good while, although mine is on for short periods. You can always run it on the usb lead if needed. Overall I'm happy with it and for the price is value for money.Update 17 months later. Unfortunately have to amend review as can no longer charge radio as USB port has disappeared into back of radio, now unusable. Shame as otherwise was happy with it. Not sure if this is an inherent weakness or a one off, will contact seller to see what they say.Update, I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service of the seller. They responded to my initial email within an hour and offered a refund or replacement without a quibble, excellent service by any standard. As I said, I was happy with radio, pity about the fault. At least you know if you have a problem that their customer service is impressive, as is the 3 year warranty.

Lovely little radio in beautiful wood effect plastic case. Very light in weight and very portable with a carry strap to put around your wrist. Reception - (either DAB or FM) is second to none and very clear. I only listen to x 2 channels - LBC and Classic FM. Both come through beautifully clear. This little gem is rechargeable via a supplied USB port and a full charge will give you around x 15 hours worth of volume. The ONLY negative I could give would be this and it’s NO fault of the radio at all: I recently went into hospital 🏥 for an operation. I duly charged it up and took my air phones so as not to disturb other patients. All was well until the after approximately x 15 hours when indeed the battery 🔋 did run out. I attempted to charge it via my bedside socket and encountered a “jobsworth” member of staff who gave me a lecture on plugging into the hospital supply without a hospital electrician checking it which although annoying, was fair enough I suppose. I just got my wife to bring me in a couple of USB power banks ! Sorted ! An option of “real” batteries 🔋 would have been handy on this occasion !To conclude, a brilliant little radio, great sound and great performance. In fact, I’ve just bought another x 2 ! Do yourself a favour and order one !

Funziona molto bene, anche se quando la batteria va a terra si cancellano tutte le memorie.Se si tiene in un posto diciamo fisso direi che conviene tenere il caricabatteria attaccato alla rete. Non so però se questo possa rovinare a lungo tempo la batteria che non è sostituibile.Ho scoperto che dove io vivo non c'è alcuna radio DAB ma ho portato la radio con me in viaggio verificando che la sintonia DAB è ottima, facile ed efficace con una qualità di suono davvero notevole.L'assistenza è ottima. Ho scritto una mail (in inglese) per chiedere chiarimenti sulla ricezione DAB e sul modo di spegnere la radio (ha sia uno stand.by che uno spegnimento completo che però perde il settaggio) e mi hanno risposto subito ed in modo esauriente. Non so dire se scrivendo in italiano siano in grado di rispondere.

Advert says mains and battery. Does not work on mains, it uses a rechargeable battery and this requires plug in to mains for charging frequently. Inconvenient if to be used as a daily source of music.

Fantastische radio. Niet te groot, niet te klein. Erg handig dat ie oplaadbaar is. Menu is eenvoudig en intuïtief. Zowel DAB als FM hebben een zeer goed ontvangst. Het geluid is bovengemiddeld en beter dan ik had verwacht. Kortom; super apparaat.

It is quite a handy sized radio. And for its limited size the loudspeaker is pretty good and capable to get a decent quality sound out. Good enough for radio stations as you expect.Also its small design means it will fit in many places. Yes it is plastic, yes it is cheap, but within those expectations it works just fine. And it uses the same controls as many other models so it is easy to get into. Very easy to set up. Just set the mode, scan and you are done.DAB+ works great[depending of course on where you put the radio ;)]FM works very good too. Both obviously combined with the auto-scan feature.As long as you are within a spot where there is good signal you get good audio quality.In short, it is small, does its work both FM and DAB+ and the sound quality is for its size good enough. It is capable to get out enough sound within the expected quality of FM/DAB Radio.Oh right its inbuild battery. I am more used to AA batteries but this design has it's good points. I mean who doesn't has a charger around right?
