These guys have a well-deserved reputation. Mike Bucca’s original Bull Shad got a lot of attention, and this miniaturized version has also had a good bit of buzz around it. If you’re a rare fisher who hasn’t heard the talk about this thing, I’ll give you a brief overview.Color is great. The paint schemes perfectly straddle that line between realistic and flashy. If you’re logical about which color you choose (if you match the hatch, as they say), you’ll be able to imitate your local baitfish, but with a small added flair to draw fish specifically to your bait.Action is spectacular. It looks like you’d imagine a wounded shad would look. Exactly like it. Because it’s in four segments (instead of your run-of-the-mill two or three), the action is incredibly fluid. There are multiple ways to fish this thing, all of which impart some sort of attractive action.The size is perfect for anyone from the pro to the hobbyist. It’s small enough to attract fish of small to average size, but big enough that larger fish will also take notice.All in all, really a great bait. It may seem a little pricy, but it’s absolutely worth the money.

Lure runs good. Only used it once so far. Can confirm quality hooks, as I managed to hook myself.

**************UPDATE*************I was refunded the full amount of the swim bait, and to my surprise when I got home from work today there was a package from CatchCo on my doorstep. Without any pressure on my end, they sent me a new one. I hadn’t even reached out to them. Needless to say I am extremely satisfied and beyond happy with my encounter with them! I will without a doubt be buying more of their lures. Their trashmaster jigs are the best on the market!!!Was super excited when this arrived today, and quickly noticed the paint on the top of the lure is chipped. I know it’s not a huge blemish, but I feel when you’re spending close to $20 on a single lure, it should arrive in pristine condition. Pretty disappointed.

So. I got this lure today after hearing good things about it on YouTube. I went with the gizzard shad because it looks like the baitfish here in south Florida. Eager to watch it swim I went to the lake behind my house, with no real intention on catching fish, I just wanted to see the action.My first cast from the doc, I watched 5-6 peacock bass compete for the lure! I pitched in a few more times and ended up with 2 peacock bass landed and a few more bites in a about 15 minutes.Basically, the action is incredible and natural and the paint imitates nature with a little bit of exaggerated colors to really make them pop in the water. Peacock bass love them.

3rd cast caught a nice bass. Great quality. Hooks are super sharp so be careful when unhooking a fish. They look great swimming through the water. They toss great. Mine needed zero tuning. They all swam straight and great out of the box. Fished my favorite lake for about three hours and caught 8 nice bass. Water is high from a heavy rain we received a few days ago. Water was slightly cloudy. My go to plastic worm wasn’t doing the trick. Only two in a couple of hours. Threw the swim bait and it was game on. I fished the lure with a fast but erratic swim pattern. Fish seemed to like it.

Great bait, very good swimming action. Wish the rate of fall was faster. If you swim it too fast it almost becomes a wake bait.

Incredible lure, the hype is real! I've caught 3 bass and 3 channel catfish over the last 2 outings and every fish was caught with this swimbait. Not even a bite on any other lure I tied on.Nothing better for aggressive reaction strikes.Beware: the hooks are ultra sharp!

This is one of the best if not the best swim Lure I have ever used for the Money!! Once you know how to twitch it, the movement is incredibly realistic but if you decide just to reel it in slowly you can see the S swimming pattern that it has. When you kill the action it will sink slow enough for you to give it another twitch and drive the Bass crazy, highly recommended!!!
