My wife asked for a peep hole, because when somebody knocks on the door rings the doorbell we had no idea who it was. I did a bunch of research and based on the price the reviews, the credibility the company this seemed like the best option. From my perspective, it’s a tremendous value. Personally, I love the Brushed Oil tone and that it is pure brass. It was very easy to install but you have to make sure that you have a 5/8” drill bit to install it. It’s designed well and easy to install. There is a lip on each end and as an added benefit it covered up any minor wood tear out from drilling the hole. To help reduce tear out you can use painters tape or masking tape on the back side of the door. It may not eliminate wood tear out but it helps prevent some it. The view is legit crystal clear and the 200° view is better than than 220° because it looks better and less like a fish eye lens. The back privacy cover looks really sharp but is more decorative in my opinion. No one would be able to see thru the peep hole from the outside. It gives peace of mind to see who is on the other side of the door. Most of the time it’s salespeople and we don’t want to talk with them. Ha!

There's not a lot you can say about a peephole viewer. The view is clear and gives you a decent field of vision. It was bigger in diameter than the one it replaced, so I had to increase the size of the hole in the door. After that, installation was easy. I've had it for about 6 months and it still looks like new. It has a little door that you can use to block the peephole from the inside. In the attached photo, the door is rotated to the open position.

Nice hardware. I replaced my original viewer as I wanted the black hardware. This is inexpensive and very easy to install. I really like the rotating inside cover that makes it even more private than before. No light coming through unless you are ready to look through.

The peep hole is installed and works great. Very easy to see out of. I really like it.

Easy install but the drill bit of ⅝ in isn't a standard drill bit that comes with most drill bit packages. ½ in is usually the largest bit so make sure you've accounted for this. I had already known this would be an issue and contemplated getting a ⅝ but but opted to use a step bit instead being I only needed the hole to to be ⅝ on the inside and outside skin of the door knowing that the inside was filled with foam insulation. Go slow on the initial drilling, ¼ in drill bit is fine for the first hole once you've verified height, (mine was 63 in for spouse use) and then some painters tape over the spots so as to not splinter while drilling and it's done. You will also need a wide blade to place in the slots to tighten it. It's wide than most flat head screwdriver. I used a paint can lid tool. Leave the painters tape on the inside so as to not scratch the inside door when the flat device slips off while cranking it tight.

Super easy to install and very clear glass. Fits exactly to replace my old scuffed one. Color, size and fit are true.

I bought this one to replace another that was hopeless. This unit was easy to install and it provides a clear view of the front door area.

Installed in my new fibreglass door. Others say the drill bit needed is obscure but it’s not. It’s 5/8” drill bit and I purchased for under $6 at big box hardware store HD. Measure carefully, do a pilot hole, drill half way on each side, screw in. Took me less than 5 mins & works perfectly. I also put a dab of silicone around the viewer on the outside.

Outstanding. Can easily be adjusted to you door.
