Tupperware Avocado Keeper (Colors May Vary)

For folks who need to carry a whole avocado for lunch and ensure it doesn't get bruised by drink bottles in their lunch cooler, this one is THE one to get! It is easy to open, unlike tomato savers containers. This is the one that takes the bashing in my dump truck ., and still protects the avocado. It is the most arthritis-friendly container I've found to open and close. Also, due to its shape you can reach in the cooler and know what it is you're grabbing. Truckers, this is the one that survives the road shock/chafing that ruins fresh foods. I eat an entire avocado, and never need to try to store uneaten halves. Will buy more of these if I ever return to long haul trucking. (One for each avocado on the truck.) The monster large variety avocados won't fit inside this container. The seller shipped mine within 4 or 5 days, and she wrote a handwritten thank you for the purchase. Nice!

I've had one of these for years. I originally ordered it from Avon and loved it, but it broke after several years, so I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. I ordered 2, just in case. It's a very sturdy product, but I have a tendency to drop it a lot, hence the breakage, but that took awhile. I does keep avocados from turning brown, but you have to use them within a couple of days. I always leave the scooped out rind on top of the one that I haven't used and that helps some. It's a good product and I like it!

If you eat avocados on a regular basis but don't always use a whole one every time, you need one of these keepers. I can't believe I went so long without one.

It does help with keeping your avocado fresher than wrapping it up. Its not perfect but so much better.

It’s really cute. Mine closes well. Used it once so far. Put the avocado ( with out) face out. Closed. No plastic wrap. Next day when I open it sadly completely brown.Now I cannot eat an entire avocado ( don’t shame me lol) and typically eat half at a time.And while they’re not cheap I don’t mind losing the tip when I scrap off the brown.I did that this morning. I’ll still use this. Next time I’ll put in fridge.One positive thing. It was great to use as storage while whole cause it was protected.

i bring an avocado to work most days to add to a salad, and this has been a perfect addition to my lunchbox... no more worrying about bruises! it is NOT air tight, so dont try to save a half avocado in here... just man up and eat the whole thing. my coworkers all mock me for this (and my banana saver and apple case), but you can tell by their slight pause that they're really thinking inside "hmm, actually thats a good idea, i just cant not make fun of this dork"

I only eat half or a quarter of an avocado at a time, and I was looking for a better way to protect the leftovers. Sadly, my first use of this did not work. I left the pit in and even squeezed a little lemon juice over the remaining half and the next day it was brown and beginning to rot. This was the most expensive of all the avocado keepers on this site -- I guess this does not indicate quality. Don't bother -- you get the same results with plastic wrap.

Like someone else mentioned- It was not made to be the "BeAll, End All"!! It is just a storage container that works about as well as saran wrap but it keeps it's shape and stays a little fresher too. Plus- It doesn't create more plastic waste and I think it's Cute sitting there in the fridge. I can always find my avocado half. It "keeps" for about 3-4 days, maybe a bit longer.
