The necklace was very long for a child when it arrived. I was afraid that it might get tangled around my little ones neck. Luckily it was easy to adjust the length. Here is how i did that. I included pictures. First you push the cord up through the safety latch. You will see a knot on the end of the cord. Measure where you want the necklace to hang and mark where the cords intersect. Push the latch all the way down then tie another knot about 1/2 an inch Closer to the beads than the intersection mark you made. (The safety latch will make up the extra length) pull the latch over the knot. double check to make sure it is the length you need it. Cut the extra cord off about 1/4 of an inch above the knot. I melted the edge of the cord with fire to make extra sure it wouldn’t fray. Pull the latch over the knot and you are all done.

First of all, the necklace is as described. I only gave one star for "stretch" because it doesn't have any--but it wasn't meant to either. It's perfect for my anxious teen who's a chewer--hoodie strings, shirt necks, pop bottle tops, anything that is within reach. This has truly been a God-send for us. My kid absolutely loves it and was thrilled to receive it.

My 10 yo grandson is an anxious biter. So he chews a lot of his pencils in school. He loves this! He said it helps him a ton!

I bought this and some extra silicone letter beads to make my 3 yo a personalized sensory necklace for when he gets nervous; he had started chewing his shirt collar and been there, done that, don’t wanna repeat it. He loves it and always makes sure HIS “cool necklace“ is on in the morning before school.The beads are already knotted so you do have to unite them to pull off a few to adjust for your child’s neck size, so it’s comfortable and not oversized, ie a safety hazard. The extra beads leave the option for more chew jewelry crafts, which I’m so grateful for since my teething toddler can have a little something too!

I bought this product for my son (20 months old).He is very strong and always has a urge to bite or release tension do to a medical condition. The necklace works great for him. Its strong and well assembled. It has a release so that he won't choke or get tmit caught on anything. He loves it and it actually even looks like good on him . I'm considering buying more in the future.

I always thought these could be potential choking hazards but everyone I know raved about them. I caved and bought this style along with a few others to try. With this one, my 3 yr old son was able to bite these and get some beads off the necklace. Be mindful with younger children because of chocking hazard.

I purchased these for my son who is constantly chewing on toys or his shirts die to sensory issues. Within the first day, i noticed that he did not reach to chew on his toys or shirts but the necklace instead. Best part is that the necklace can be washed off at the end of each night with a quick scrub in warm soapy water! He loves them!

This product is well made and my children love it. It is especially great for my son who has sensory processing disorder and keeps him from chewing on his shirt.
