Kotobukiya Medabots KBT00-M: Metabee Fine Scale Model Kit

This is a model that you build from a kit, not a pre-made figure! With that out of the way, it is very simple to put together, although I suggest buying an exacto-knife first so as to remove the excess plastic that holds the parts in place. The text is in Japanese but the instructions show detailed images of each part, their number, and a visual guide on putting it together so you won’t get lost or confused. It comes with extra hands, eyes, and accessories so you can have a variety of poses you can put him in. This is of the Character “Metabee” from the Franchise Metabots / Metarots. So if you are feeling nostalgic for a long forgotten franchise in the west and wanted to add something to your collection from it, this is a good model to add to your collection.

It took me roughly an hour and 45 minutes to piece this together, mainly because it was my first ever model, and because I was being very careful. Luckily, it's a lot sturdier than one would think, and though some of the pieces like to slip off (mainly the visor if you move him around too much), it's a rather good and interesting figure. The instructions are in Japanese, but they're very clear, and I had no issue with them.

The Metabee model kit is a fantastic little kit. It may not have a design as intricate as some of those newfangled Gundams like the Barbatos Lupus I built a while back, but what it has going for it is a solid and easy-to-build design with lots of accessories and flare to style it however you please. You can really get a lot of personality from this model kit! My only problem with it is that the Kotobukiya Medarot models tend to have spring-loaded weapons in (at least one of) their arms. These springs are difficult to get in correctly and can quite easily get lost. Luckily, Metabee's model kit only has a single one of these spring-loaded weapon arms so it's less of a headache than a kit like the Rokusho model. Also, even if said spring gets lost, the arm will build around the error just fine. I am not going to fault it for this though because I didn't really want to use that function of his arm anyways. The fact that the spring was annoying and eventually got lost in my carpet meant peanuts to me.

Absolutely amazing. Perfect Kit and shipped in the most excellent condition.Perfect for fans of the show.Only complaint is the figure is mostly ball joints and the legs really like falling off.

Kotobukiya's Metabee is just a great item to buy, the figure overall is great, the colors are beautiful but not exactly the same as the colors rokusho had in the tv show. The only "problem" that I ve had with this figure is that teh ball joints are not as tight as the should be so SOME times-usually the legs- certain parts fall off.In conclusion if you are a medabots fun i suggest you buy it, but before buying it take into account that the legs sometimes fall off and also it is not as easy as it look to be assembled(u might get frostrated when u make the hand-parts mechanism)

I bought this for my son for Christmas he enjoyed putting it together yesterday, but every time he picks it up it falls apart this is very sad being that it was not cheap.

Since back then I was a kid this anime showed up on a cartoon channel. Well, I got bored and ired of watching series which has love themes on it , and started watching it eventually.Well, to rate this toy I really say it would be worth while because this toy can give you background of what is like building a robot even though it is just a plastic model kit, but this has features like shooting miissiles and projectiles that are as small as a toothpick, but who cares anyways I know it is a bit late to make a review for this toy, but I just like to give a background to you guys who wants this. If this is still up for sale.

Came in early than expected. Very nice model to have in you collection. I highly recommend it!
