A good lens for first timers
Pros: This thing is sturdy. The bottom lens does not protrude below the frame of the objective, so it is very hard to damage it during normal use. You can touch the slide with the lens safely without risking scratch to lens.Cons: the resolution does not seem too great. I have added some images.Conclusion: Even though this is not the best lens, I think this should be your first 100x lens. It is cheap, so you can use it as a training lens. It will help you get used to oil immersion.
