Red Base Waxed Amaryllis Flower Bulb with Stand, No Water Needed

UPDATE: it is now February 24th. The tallest stalk on one of the bulbs has reached 1.75 inches. Pathetic. RECOMMENDATION: Don’t buy from Holland Bulb Co. I thought these would be a great gift. Not so. From 12/13/21 through 01/15/2022, the amaryllis has only grown this much (see photos). Last year I used a different company, but I thought I’d purchase the Holland Bulb Co waxed amaryllis through Amazon because, hey, free shipping. I’m so disappointed. I gave one each to different people. None have flowered, or even grown. Last year, the other company’s bulbs were into their second stem fo full blooms by now. Also, the bulbs came with the wrong instructions. The instructions said to put them in the soil right away or store them in a cool place. My friends were calling me asking if I expected them to plant in winter. I’ll have to purchase extra nice gifts next year. These were a dud! I am so terribly disappointed, as are my friends.

These make delightful gifts. I give them to my 3 daughters in law and partner and her daughters every year. They all love them and I do too. They requite no effort to make bloom. And, if you plant them after they bloom, they will bloom again. They give us all joy.

Two more new blooms on the way! Such a beauty.. Trust this vendor for perfect plants.

Initial bulb received not in good condition, wax severely missing.. So disappointed I love Amaryllis flowers. I buy them every Christmas. Will order from this company again? Overpriced? Requested free replacement and wax is intact. Replacement bulb in perfect condition and has increasing green foliage now. First bulb when discarded was rotted with fluids leaking at the bottom.

Perfect for some in long term nursing home. Bloomed beautifully and no upkeep for the patient. I got many comments on its beauty and how much joy it brought her. I bou6 3 mome since then. Woul6 recemond for anyone

I have purchased several amaryllis waxed bulbs and this is the first one that I am sooo disappointed with. The size of the bulb was so small. It took over a months before I saw any green. Finally it did flower and the size of the flower was so small as well as the height. This plant could have used more time to mature before being sold. I know you never know what you will get but for this price I expected a better quality plant. I included a picture of it next to two that I took the wax off and planted.

Flowers bloomed beautifully and still has amazing green growths all these months later. Hope to remove wax coating and get to rebloom. Amazing that it never needs water.
