A Wedding Gift
This wok looked good online, arrived in a reasonable time, and looked good out of the box (and a good looking box). Everything appears sturdy. I have an electric wok that I've used for years, but I was planning on giving an electric wok as a wedding gift. Apparently the company that made my old wok no longer makes them so I went online to find another maker. This one looked good. After I took it out of the box, it looks good, and feels good. Everything seems to fit well. And I've just finished by first stir fry and it performed as it should. Now that I know it is a good product, I have just ordered another that will become a wedding gift. -- Stir Fry? Easy and quick to prep all the ingredients Easy and quick to cook all the ingredients. And, easy and quick to clean up afterwards.

Buy it!!
This the best cooking vessel I have ever owned (except for my great grandmother's iron kettle). I have owned other electric woks which did not perform well. This has perfect heat distribution. It is very easy to clean. Food glides right out of the pan. I have done stir fry and even spaghetti sauce in it. It's amazing. I have an Aroma rice cooker, & I trust the Aroma name. It has lived up to it and then some! It's a great value! As is recommended, lightly coat with an oil like peanut, canola or veg oil (not olive or avocado) after washing.

I love this appliance
I love using this wok! It work well and it’s very convenient to wash up as the pan disconnects from the base. Can be used for regular frying, not just stir frying. The little shelf that comes with it is flimsy, but since I don’t use it I can’t downgrade for it.This is a brilliant tool in the kitchen.

Great wok
I love my wok!!! I have recently started making Chinese food, it's my new hobby, and this wok meets all expectations. I use it on my counter top and don't have to clean my stove at all. It works perfectly for all meats and vegetables. I couldn't ask for a better product. Try it, you will love it!

The best $65 investment in the last decade
I bought the professional model. I go deep sea fishing and get large fish that I cut to large steaks and keep the skin and bone. Used to deep fry it at home but had to deal with the aftermath, smell and cleaning the stove. Before I found this I thought of getting a pan with propane which I don’t want to deal with due to storing gas. Now I can fry more pieces together, faster in the backyard. There is no aftermath. The pan is large with the right depth and curvature. It heats up in 3 minutes, the oil boils if I keep it at max. I used it 5 times already.

High quality electric wok
Wife and I never owned any form of wok before but decided on an electric, based on other reviewers who claimed the range top variety doesn't get hot enough. The relatively low cost of the Aroma afforded an affordable chance to try wokking. We are so glad we did.The size of this wok is perfect for us. We've fed four adults from one batch of Terriaki salmon stir-fry, seconds included. When it's the two of us, we have enough to refrigerate for another meal. Our meals reheat very well in the microwave. We could've fit even more food in the wok but a couple of preheated (microwaveable, frozen) vegetable packs fit nicely with the meat. This unit heats up fully in about 5 minutes. The indicator light goes out to let you know when your selected temperature has been reached. We cook most meats at 7 or 8, but used 9 for pork because I like it darkened more. We marinate the meat before it goes in. We tend to use more peanut oil than recommended to ensure the meat cooks quickly and completely in 2 minutes. It hasn't bothered the flavor. After two minutes we add the vegetables that we pre-heated. We then drizzle more sauce (soy plus terriaki, sweet and sour, Jack Daniels barbecue, whatever we marinated with) and often sprinkle on some coriander (its lemony flavor is especially great with shrimp and with salmon pieces). The Aroma cools down in 15 minutes or so. It's very easy to wipe clean with a lightly soaped and dampened paper towel. We haven't found the need to place it in the sink for immersion cleaning. We don't use the lid because we don't steam anything, but it's made of heavy glass and has vent openings for when needed. The power cord and controller are unitized and have a squeezeable lever to attach and disconnect it from the wok. We push it in a little farther after the lever has been released because the unit isn't otherwise fully inserted. You'll readily feel this.Given the price we were astonished at the quality of the materials. Who can say how long the cooking surface coating will last -- on this Aroma or on the higher priced brands? At this price and given how much we now enjoy wokking we'll certainly replace it when the time comes with whichever brand and model looks to do the job.

Very good
I have had the wok for about 1 week and cooked 4 times with it. It gets very hot very fast. On highest heat it is ready to cook in about 4 minutes and it is very hot, which you need with a wok. 1500 watts does that. It heats much faster and hotter than my Presto electric frying pan (which is a pan I love and use often). It stir frys anything, meat or veg, with ease. It is non stick surface so I got some non stick safe cooking utensils (by Pleafind (very inexpensive and nice)) that work very will with the wok. The heat setting has dots only but it is quite easy to use and I use the top 3 settings mostly, once you see what heat they produce it is quite easy to use. The top heat setting is really blazing hot. Overall I am quite please with this wok. It does exactly what I want it to do very well, which is stir fry meat and veggies.
