Works great for my Surface Book and can't beat the price. Running Surface Book in both Extended and Second Screen Only in Windows 10 without any issues to a 1080P monitor.

This great little cable connects to a mini DisplayPort or an Apple Thunderbolt connector, and provides a female HDMI output at the other end. You do need to supply the HDMI cable.I have tested it with a MacBook Pro (Mid 2011) and a Microsoft Surface Pro 2, and it works great. Note that on pre-2010 MacBook Pros there is no audio on the mini DisplayPort output, this is a hardware limitation of these particular machines.
