Well built, very attractive speaker with far better sound than the mini portable Bluetooth speakers
Well built (solid) and gorgeous in White + Lucky Bamboo finish. What about the sound though? I don't consider myself a true die-hard audiophile, though do rock a decent Klipsch KLF-20 setup with Paradigm 15" sub-woofer as my main setup, and a HiFi Man HE-500 headset running off a Schiit Lyr 2 amp, so those are my higher end comparisons. For day to day computer use, a Logitech setup with 8" sub and good old plastic box speakers. So nothing terribly expensive, just comparison points. What I would call this is a well above average Bluetooth speaker, and one that has been tuned to provide a fairly casual, non-aggressive sound (i.e., treble rolls off, and not much bite, blat, or razz in the mid-range, but...) the but part is that 1.) You can adjust treble and bass with the built-in controls if you desire a more aggressive high-end, and 2.) That's okay for what this is.It's okay because you never will get amazing stereo separation or instrument placement with any box that has the speakers this close together, but that's not what this is. This is more of a laid back, background kind of speaker, that can get reasonably loud, but again, it's really not meant to shake the rafters, or overwhelm you. Also there is a LOT to be said for a less aggressive treble. It's an easy relaxing listen for long periods of time with no fatigue. It sounds better than any tiny hand carry type of Bluetooth speaker because of the larger drivers, larger cabinet, and stiffer enclosure, so you get a nice clean sound that can fill an average size room with a comfortable level of music. Also if used over Bluetooth, especially if your source doesn't support Aptx, but even if does, while Bluetooth is convenient, it's also far from best possible quality.PROS -Works with Amazon's Echo Dot - easily paired. The touch sensitive buttons, while arguably not in the best place for everyone, are very responsive. A light touch is all that is needed. You can adjust display brightness (off, bright, dim), volume, and bass and treble are adjustable. Note that once a volume is set, you can also adjust volume at the Bluetooth source, so think of the speaker volume as a multiplier of the source.AUX in cable is an option, and the speaker comes with the needed cable. There is a RESET button to pair with another device. There is a USB charge port (charge only), so if you are using this with a phone or tablet, this can be used as both charger and speaker. For $200, while more than many plastic speaker options, it's a decent price for what you get in terms of build quality.

Was great while it lasted
As these speakers work in a wide range of power voltages, I opted to purchase them for an upcoming trip. As soon as they arrived, I plugged them in, and gave them about 2-3hrs worth of listening time. The mids and highs were excellent. The bass was pretty lacking, but considering the size / weight, I felt like it would be a pretty hard endeavor to find much better (especially cost included). One strange thing about these speakers, is that they sound much better through the Bluetooth connection, than the 3mm headphone jack .. Very weird. I was guessing it would have been the other way around, but the 3mm sounded awful.So.. After the listening, I put them away for 3-4 works until my vacation - to Manila, and then to Taipei . In Manila they started having an issue .. I'd have to turn it off and on to get the Bluetooth to connect . Then the next leg of my trip, Taipei. About 1 hour into listening to music, the speakers disconnected from the Bluetooth.. I tried the 3mm headphone cable - to my suprise , it did not work either!! Nothing would connect. Randomly about an hour later I was able to get the Bluetooth to work again.. It lasted roughly 15 minutes. I have not been able to get the speakers to work since . When I got home, I was unable to return this pile of crap, as it was out of amazons return period. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a Bluetooth boom box

Good near field highs and mids, disappointing bass and overall volume
For it's size I expected more out of this speaker. If you're worried about it's lack of subwoofers, steer clear. The bass response on this guy is disappointing. Not bad, but lacking. Where this guy performs is in the mids and highs. But even still, it's not capable of the same volume as my SB ROAR 2, which is a fraction of the size.It also helps to keep in mind that this is a set of near field drivers so it sounds better when you're closer to it. This is good for some spaces but not mine. Especially since this speaker needa to be plugged in.

best for the money
I used fluance 5.1 system 15 years back, great price for what they offer then. I bought this one hoping for same and im not disappointed, build quality better than expected, sound very good, i read others reviews and i was scared but i wanted to hear it, and sounds excellent for $99 i have a 804S with revel sub powered by parasound and ofc it doesnt compare but its not a $10k system. So again for the money its an excellent buy and im very happy.

Sounds like a blown speaker at low volumes after 6 months.
We followed the instructions keeping the volume at a limited amount and never used it at a high level. After 6 or so months the output is scratchy and seems like a blown speaker at low volumes. When increased to a medium volume it gets clear again. When put back to low volume it seems to clear up for a few days then it has the same issue again.

Awesome! I'm in love with this speaker!
The white and Bamboo Fi50 is gorgeous! It's got a retro look but is also very modern in it's aesthetic. Everyone that comes into my home is immediately drawn to it and asks about it. Just by feeling or lifting it you know for certain that it's a well built, high quality product. The sound is great, even though I have yet to get through the 10 hour break in period. I have noticed significant improvement in the sound since the first time I played music through it and am excited to hear how amazing it's going to sound once it's complete. I was considering a Bose and am super glad I went this route. It connects quickly and easily overtime with my iPhone 5s. I haven't had any trouble with the connection being lost. I LOVE the little Canadian flag on the back! Awesome purchase! Highly recommended!

Great aesthetic, craftsmanship and sound!!!
I have had this for 5 days and have gone past the break in zone and I love it! I purchased this because my toddler kept on playing with my beloved stereo system and I wanted to get a compact simple piece of equipment that could be placed at height, but also had to sound good and blend with the decor for my wife to go along with another piece of audio equipment. I don't write many reviews but I really like Fluance's business approach as I get the impression that they really care for their products, their excellent warranty shows that they really stand by their equipment and you aren't paying for obnoxious branding and marketing like other audio companies that have diluted their product. Making a good product that is affordable for the rest of us is something that resonates with me.Sound:It just sounds right although you can adjust it to taste which I didn't think was required. You can hear all the instruments clearly, however obviously the stereo separation is not the greatest, but to be expected with the woofers at their given distance. Bass and highs are great and the music engages you. If I were to nitpick, the middle is slightly thin for my ears but more than acceptable. Vocals are still sound very good.Design and Aesthetic:This is a solid piece of equipment; it has heft and good quality components (I love that they added optional metal spikes - the designers at fluance mean business!) I love the concentric tweeter in woofer design as it optimizes space and maintains a simple uncluttered look. I got the white on lucky bamboo which matches our decor and has a simple yet very pleasing aesthetic - this was necessary for the wife acceptance factor which I have already pushed to its limit with my stereo system and home theater system and 4 headphones etc.... The screen is very simple with only the necessary information to not distract the beauty of this product. Bluetooth (as well as airplay I believe) and auxiliary connections are available so that you have options with how you want to listen. I typically dont like company brands on my equipment but the company logo is tactfully applied and fits the aesthetic. It was delivered in 2 days with solid packaging so that is great. All in all, this product really hit it out of the park for my needs. I dont want to mention the price as it tends to undermine the quality of reviewed products, but that is most people's criteria. When people say good for the price it really is a cop out; this is just plain great! I was willing to pay for the B&W Zeppelin (costs more that 4 times this product) which I'm sure is fantastic, but I could tell that the aesthetic and size was enough to make my wife cringe so I was very happy to compromise with this product that I did. Fully recommended!

Highly recommended
Quality and precision of music, (hi fidelity recording require to appreciate the quality of this speakers system.the sound is as good as your weakest link and bad recording will sound worse thru a hight definition sound system), product finish of hight quality and what is the most impressive. You get all this, for a very good price. Bravo to Fluance

Looks nice and the sound it ok, too, but ...
Connection / disconnection with your phone is voice confirmed. This is annoying to the point of not recommending this product. No way to turn this off, unfortunately.
