Scratched lens
The monocle works, so that is why I gave it three stars. It has scratches on the lens. The packaging is great, but the lanyard metal must have been placed on the lens when shipped. Either that, or no quality control. I am not gonna bother returning it, it is still usable. I am going to look for another company and try again.

This is a real optical device, not costume jewelry.
This monocle has become part of my being since one of my eyes got macular degeneration. Now my over the counter readers are confusing since both the good eye and the bad one are magnified. Since I was an ophthalmologist I had a junk drawer of optical devices, I tried out an old monocle. Once I figured out howto use it , and how to handle Mr Peanut comments, I have found the monocle to be an elegant solution. Unfortunately opticians don’t handle monocles. I found this monocle on Amazon and it is wonderful. For reading vision in a monocular situation it is a very good solution.

Love it!
Love this! As an Englishman in the USA, this does shout out my heritage! But, it also works better than reading glasses, I’m in and out of freezers and coolers, constantly goofing up readers. The monocle just drops onto its lanyard when I don’t need it and I’m un-fogged!

the product did as advertised. It took some learning to use it comfortably, but once I mastered the art of the monocle, I've been satisfied.

Size is most important to work well
Originally ordered the 37mm monocle. Could not get it to stay all. Then I ordered the 40mm monocle and fits perfect! No matter whichever way I look, up-down and side to side it stays in place with no effort. Great product. Just wish they’d make them without the spur for the cord. Real old school!
