Got this converter to power an Australian coffee maker and it worked perfectly. The coffee maker has a max wattage of 1,500, but I went and got the 3,000 watts converter to be on the safe side. It is absolutely quiet.

I've owned two of these. Better just to wire a 220-240V outlet from the panel then to use one of these. Made a weird noise when a space heater was connected. Using it to power a 220V A/C unit for several hours melted the power cord that came with it and A/C unit only drew 3amps constant which this item states 10-15 amps is supported. Not sure what happened but better, cheaper solution is to wire a 220V wall outlet directly to the circuit panel. Everything that is 220V simply works better when using an outlet connected to the circuit panel with solid copper wires. And a circuit breaker with some Romax 12/3 wire will run you only $30-50 (double slot breaker is only $10). You'll just have to remember to not connect any 110V items into the 220V wall outlet. Even though the plugs are different form factor, it might be tempting to try an adapter for someone who doesn't understand electrical wiring.

It comes with socket that accepts international plugs but my appliances with EU plugs won’t turn on. My appliances with AU plugs work fine. Really difficult and slow working on getting the transformer fixed. I am now returning.

I received this transformer completely damaged, the metal was bended, switches and handle broken. I'm gonna order an other one very soon.

después de 3 meses ya no funciona, buscaré regresarlo, lo use para una cafetera que compramos en Alemania y al inicio fue Perfecto, pero ahora hace un ruido raro y ya no funciona!!!
