I was the only one who didn't get pneumonia and I swear it's because I was taking these bad boys. it's a tonifying herb
been taking this for YEARS. sure, there are other less expensive brands of astragalus. do not be fooled. gaia's formulation is by far the highest quality you can find on amazon. a few years ago, I was living in a house with 6 roommates (college..) anyway. I started taking this during a particularly nasty season when everyone in the house developed this really nasty cough. we found the basement was filled with black mold. while we were all searching for other accommodations, all 6 of my roommates were diagnosed with pneumonia. guess what? I was the only one who didn't get pneumonia and I swear it's because I was taking these bad boys. it's a tonifying herb, it works over time, so to get the best benefit of astragalus, you want to take it through a season, not just when you feel under the weather.

A must for building the immune system
There was a period when I seemed to get a cold every couple of weeks. I was really run down. My acupuncturist recommended that I take Astragalus every three times a day for a couple of months to rebuild my immune system. I have no idea how it works, but it did make a huge difference. I stopped getting colds. (And when I do feel I'm about to get one, the acute remedy is Gan Mao Ling (see separate review.)) Now that I'm feeling better, I take two capsules just once a day as part of my overall vitamin regimen.

They make good stuff
It’s helping my immune system but takes a couple months for you to notice. I plan to keep taking it until I find something better.
