Verdugo Gift Picnic Backpack

I have 2 picnic backpacks: this one and another I paid twice as much for. The plates and cutlery are the same quality in each backpack. The more expensive backpack feels like better quality, but both are insulated to keep hot/cold foods. I don't day hike with these backpacks I just find it an easy way to go from the car/home to the pool, lake, beach. When we hike we use the cooler linked in the comment box below because we can keep our lunch cold, hold other items and take it on an airplane.

I had one of these and bought the same thing for my friend. She and her husband love to watch the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico while enjoying some wine and cheese. This was the perfect gift for them. Just be careful when there is a bottle of wine in the side pocket, because it can slip out if the bag tips over. Lots of fun, and ready to go at a moment's notice. It has everything you need - no more remembering the paper plates, napkins, corkscrew, etc.

We just moved into a community that has a lot of community pitch ins. I thought this would be perfect to take to those events. The scant instructions said that this item wasn't a toy, which was a needed explanation since the "glasses" and "napkins" were pretty toy like. The flatware was sturdier than regular plastic ware and the plates are a little small, but really enough. Since it's just my wife and me, we each get two plates, which is plenty. We are looking for napkins that are more absorbent and larger and some sturdier "glasses". It being a backpack is convenient and easy to carry, and the cutting board and cheese knife is nice. Also liked the salt and pepper holders that were included. It's really got all you need for an outing, if it were just a bit beefier, it would be nicer. It will be fine for us, but a family with kids.... I don't think it would last very long.

I bought this for my husband for Father's day and he loved it! We got on a lot of day trips so packing lunch is something we do frequently and we can't wait to try this out! Also, I bought this as a last minute gift on Friday and the expected delivery was for Sunday but it arrived on Saturday, I was so pleased to be able to give it to him on Father's day!

Elegant, well-appointed, versatile and easy to carry-around. I've enjoyed an outing or two and lent it to friends to picnic at Tanglewood in the Berkshires (MA). The durable plastic plates, glasses and amenities are easy to pull-out, restack and enjoy for an elegant picnic setting - with extra carrying space for wine, extras in the backpack.

I was a little disappointed in the quality of the Backpack Picnic set. It will do for occasional use but I don't think it will stand up to the rigors of weekly on monthly use. I changed the flatware because the stuff that came with the set is very cheap. It has everything you need for a picnic in the park or to take on a road trip.

I love this picnic set. It has everything you need for a day out. Like other reviews have mentioned, the backpack itself is not the best quality, but for this price what do you really expect? I have enjoyed it many times and it has held up fine.

A cute gift, this backpack holds everything you need to have a nice picnic and besides all what is included you still have space for a bottle and extra compartment for some food.
