A long hair girls bff
I have used Avalon organics for over 5 years. The rosemary conditioner and the lavender shampoo have done wonders for my hair. For clarifying I use the lemon shampoo. The rosemary, lavender, and lemon smell and work the best out of all of the options. It leaves my hair smelling good and looking nice. I have received broken bottles in the past and I hope that they read the reviews on here since it’s not just me and fix that. A bottle of this lasts me a year. I have hair past my bottom and wash it once a week. I attached a photo of my hair. I recommend this as my holy grail to so many people and they try it and love it. My only suggestions are the packaging issues and in the future I’d like Avalon organics to have a refil system like a discount for returning a bottle and having it refilled since that’s part of their brand.

The lemon shampoo was good. The conditioner was very bad.
Wow! It's been a 'roller coaster' of experiences with this The clarifying natural shampoo we've used for years is no longer made. Thus began the search for a different option. After reading reviews and looking at information on EWG, we purchased the lemon clarifying shampoo. It has a good natural fragrance and we did well with it, although it was a bit drying.. So I ordered the lemon conditioner, and then things went downhill quickly! The odor was terrible. It seemed like it was rancid or something. I did all I could to try to get it out of my hair as quickly as possible. The Amazon online account system did not allow for an explanation of the problem with this product. "damaged or defective" was a combined choice. So the system required a photo. There was no damage to the container. It's a defective product inside the bottle! How does one take a picture of that?I know this is a long review, but it's becoming more important to point out that Amazon's Customer Service has sadly gone downhill recently. Don't get me wrong., we're blessed to have deliveries--especially since disability has been challenging, and we're not able to drive. However, it took me 30 minutes to get this resolved. 'Stick' at first in the menu, then being placed on hold and being transferred to a different Customer Service Representatives (both were very nice by the way) and even after all that I had to submit a picture of the bottle to a Customer Service Representative, and wait for him to view he email in order to get a refund. So disappointing! I realize that a product review may not be the best place to express this. But, the only way customers can review Customer Service is by rating the specific agent. There is room below for comments, but these agents were fine. It's not their policy. It's Amazon's new policies-- and I hope they change for the better soon.

Works for me
Pros of this conditioner: it's medicated, leaves scalp feeling refreshed, and softens hair. Ever since I started using this conditioner twice a week, my hair and scalp have never looked better. Zero dandruff to be seen.Cons: The smell is not great. It's not awful, but it's not pleasant either. The chamomile leafs on the bottle had me thinking it would smell similar to chamomile tea, but it really doesn't. The conditioner itself is SUPER watery too. It's hard and near impossible to get a good lather on my hair. Will I keep buying this after I run out? Probably not. But I'm also not going to throw it out as it serves its purpose. I do recommend it if you don't mind the smell and can get past the lather issue as like I said, the product does what it says it does.

A Quality Conditioner
The only conditioner that I've been able to find that doesn't make my hair too flat or greasy. The scent is great and doesn't smell too chemical-like.

thick buy oily
To begin, I would like to note that I definitely like the shampoo much more than the conditioner. I have now been using the combination of Biotin B shampoo and conditioner for about 2 months now. I would also like to explain a little bit about my hair - I have medium shoulder length, straight hair. I have very oily skin, which then gets my hair oily by the end of the day. My scalp also gets very itchy, something I have attributed to an allergy in the "chemical" shampoos (I formerly used Artec by Loreal professional, Joico, and Matrix). I also swim in a chlorinated pool on a fairly regular basis.Pros:organic - need I say more?gentle - I takes away my itch, and I have not had any other problems with dandruff or anything. The first ingredient listed is Aloe.So/So:smell - not super yummy, but not intolerable eitherCons:Tangles!!! No matter how much I use, the conditioner does not detangle my hair. I let my hair dry, almost completely before I comb it (sometimes that's hard)Oil fields. For some reason, this conditioner really makes my hair oily. Before I even get out of the shower, my hair is so gluey, oily, and just not even nice. I let it just dry that way, to see if it's only appearing oily while it's wet; nope. It weighed down my hair, and it just wasn't as flowy and light. To help, (I really wanted to give the combination a good go) I began not completely rinsing the shampoo out of my hair prior to adding the conditioner. I would then completely rinse the shampoo and conditioner simultaneously. This did alleviate a good chunk of the oil, but my hair still felt weighed down.Quantity to condition. In order to get the conditioner to completely get to all of my hair, I had to use a ton! It is really thick, and hard to spread throughout my hair. I ended up running out of conditioner at the time that my shampoo was half empty. As far as "thickening" goes, I have noticed with using the combination of shampoo + conditioner, that my hair is not necessarily thicker, however, I have noticed that as I wash/condition my hair, less hair falls out during the showering process. I used to have so much hair in the drain after a shower that my boyfriend used to joke, "how are you not bald by now?!?", but now I only loose maybe 7 or so hairs in the shower. A MAJOR decrease. With less hair falling out, I would certainly say that my hair is able to "thicken", not on an individual strand level, but overall my head of hair is thicker.Would I purchase again - yes/no. I would purchase the shampoo again (I overall liked the way it cleaned, and made my scalp feel), but I would probably not purchase the conditioner again. I suppose I will continue on the hunt for the perfect shampoo/conditioner combo.
