Dr. Bob's Daily Infant Drops: Iron, Vitamin D, B12, Folate

I love Dr. Bob, and I love his products. Very thoughtfully crafted supplements formulated by a prominent pediatric author who is ALSO an active pediatrician who sees hundreds of healthy and sick kids on a regular basis, including mine. Although a traditional pediatrician, he leans towards a slightly more holistic approach to medicine and is up on the newest advances in preventive medicine and nutrition. I honestly believe that these vitamins are aiding in building up my infant son's immune system. He used to be on the infant drops made by the big pharmaceutical companies but those not only made him nauseous and fussy and they tasted so bad it was a fight to get him to take them. These drops go totally undetected in my sons beverages. I did some reasearch and found lots of evidence to support that kids needs increased levels of vitamin D than what most supplements offer. Since many fresh and healthy foods as well as most package baby cereals, formulas, milks, crackers and other items are made with iron supplementation, i was happy to find a vitamin that had slightly reduced levels to compensate for the amount of iron the average infant gets in their diet. Too much iron is not a good thing! Especially if your kid suffers from constipation. I'm really happy with this vitamin and although I will continue to research the newest advances in nutrition and supplementation for my son, I will continue to stick with Dr. Bob's formulations.

These are ok except that I didn't realize they'd be packaged in a plastic bottle. I'm not sure most parents who are interested in an alternative vitamin like this would be happy to use something in this type of container. Because of that, I won't be purchasing again, but other than that it seems to be a decent product.

I was happy it had no taste but when I put the full dosage into my daughters bottle it would make her spit up a few hours later. If I broke up the dosage between two bottles she was fine. Kids of a hassle since it's one of several vitamins I give her and I don't like to put too many in each bottle so it doesn't upset her stomach

I like that these don't have extras (colors, flavors, etc.) that my baby doesn't need. Baby spits a lot out, though, and they do smell not so appetizing.

These drops have kind of a sour/tart smell & taste so my son doesn't love taking them. But they serve their purpose.

So far these have been great! My 11 month old (who can be quite picky) takes them with ease and seems to like the flavor! Great product!!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Terrible company,
