Evil Thing-Villains, Book 7: A Tale of That De Vil Woman

I love all of Serena Valentino's Villains novels! At first, I was disappointed that there wasn't going to be anything about the Odd Sisters in this book, but now that I've read it I can say I really liked the way they were included in the story, however indirectly. If you've read the other 6 books, then you'll see the hints. I love the author's style, I have always loved it. Once you start reading her books, you just can't put them down! Cruella's story is as interesting as the tales of Grimhilde, Beast, Ursula, Maleficent and Gothel. The storyline is set mostly in and around London, and follows a walk down memory lane, revealing how Cruella ended up the way she did. Nothing is as simple as black and white. 5 stars!

I have loved these book ever since I first picked up fairest of them all, they are always a really interesting take on the much beloved villians, my only disappointed in this one way there wasn't much of a link with the others other than princess tulip, but non the less it was a really good story and for any book lover or Disney lover. Will be awaiting the next one to see if my own theory for a link in correct or not 😉.

Pre ordered this back in February. Received on Saturday and have finished the book already, I absolutely love this series of books. This one you could read even if not familiar with any others within the collection. I find they are great as my younger niece loves them as much as me (she is 12) and friends in their 30s enjoy them also, they truly can be enjoyed by a broad age range. I eagerly await the next story within the collection even if it will be at least 1year+

My partner read this and has read all of the other villain tales and twisted tales. This was another great one she said and focuses on one of Disney's all time great villains, Cruella De Vil. She would definitely recommend it if you're into this series or Disney in general

I really liked the story line and the back story to cruella de vil before she went to steal the puppies it was an interesting read and I highly recommend other people read this book If there into there Disney villains 👍🏻

Another fantastic book in the series. It was so good to delve into cruella back story and find out about her youth. I even felt a bit sorry for her. Definitely read it

Este libro es un auténtico regalo para los amantes de las historias de Disney. Lo que más me gusta es cómo logra mostrar una cara completamente distinta de personajes que siempre hemos visto como villanos. Aquí no solo se cuentan sus actos, sino que se profundiza en sus motivaciones, su pasado y las heridas que los llevaron a convertirse en lo que conocemos. Eso hace que la lectura resulte mucho más rica e intrigante, porque uno pasa de odiar a ciertos personajes a comprenderlos, o al menos verlos desde otra perspectiva. El estilo de la autora es muy ágil, con capítulos que atrapan y un tono que combina lo mágico con lo oscuro de una forma única. No es un libro pensado únicamente para adolescentes, aunque los jóvenes lo disfrutan muchísimo; también los adultos podemos encontrar en él un valor especial, porque consigue conectar con esa parte nostálgica de la infancia y, al mismo tiempo, ofrece una reflexión más madura sobre el bien y el mal. La edición es otro de sus puntos fuertes. En tapa dura, con un diseño cuidado y muy llamativo, se convierte en una pieza que no solo se disfruta leyendo, sino también teniendo en la estantería como parte de una colección. De hecho, al verlos todos juntos resultan espectaculares. En definitiva, es una lectura imprescindible dentro de la saga de villanos. Combina entretenimiento, emoción y una nueva mirada sobre personajes clásicos. Lo recomendaría tanto a fans de Disney como a quienes simplemente buscan una historia distinta y bien construida.
