Got it cut and it works!
I bought this to replace a lost key for my 2006 Toyota Sienna. Going through a dealership would be much more expensive. Some local locksmiths were quoting a higher price for a replacement car key as well. Took it to Home Depot, got it cut, and then programmed it myself. Saved a bunch of money. The programming instructions I found online took a few tries to get it right. These are the ones that worked for me: 1. Sit in your van with all doors closed. I opened and closed the door one time to 'clear' the system. 2. Insert your original master key to key cylinder 5 times and leave it there ('in' and 'out' four times, just 'in' the fifth time). 3. Open and close driver side door 6 times. Should be closed when you do the next step. 4. Remove master key from key cylinder, and within 5 seconds insert your new cut transponder key. (NOTE: the original instructions I found said to then turn the new key to the ON position, but that didn't work for me. Someone suggested completing the steps without turning to ON and that worked for them, tried it and it worked for me too.) 5. Look at that red engine immobilizer light (the red light to the left of the speedometer which is car shaped with a black key in the middle of it). It is solid indicating it's in programming mode. After inserting the new key it will begin blinking. Wait about 1 min up to 90 seconds and it will turn off by itself. 6. After engine immobilizer light turns off, remove new key and insert original master key. Start engine. 7. Now try your DIYed new transponder key to start your Sienna. Obviously different models or different years of Sienna the programming instructions may vary. And even doing the same steps it took a few tries before it worked for me. But hey, way cheaper to do it myself!

Works Perfectly but read this.
Decently made good price works perfectly with my 2008 tundra but needs a programmer to work IF you have that or take to a locksmith it works good most big box stores with the computer key cutters won't cut and program this key though. those machines are set to program only there brand of key. if you find a little hardware store with the older machine or the old vice cutter and someone who knows what there doing you can get it cut just fine and program it yourself.

Would buy again. 2008 4runner
Amazing! Their website had proper details to make keys work programming them in my 2008 4runner. It was a bit finicky, but eventually everything coded and works. Saved a LOT of money setting 3 replacements with proper coding.

2008 Toyota Sienna ๐
Purchased for a 2008 Toyota Sienna, got them cut at a Local Hardware store. Programmed them myself from instructions found on the internet and they work great!! Make sure your OEM keys have the little โdotโ on the blade as indicated in the advertisement. Sit in vehicle with doors closed insert & remove OEM key from ignition (5) five times, on the (5th) fifth time leave the OEM key in the ignition. Open and close driverโs door (6) six times, leave door closed on the (6th) time. Remove OEM key, the vehicleโs immobilizer light will now be โon/litโ continuously. Insert the newly cut key into the ignition the immobilizer light will blink for approximately (1) one minute then the immobilizer light will โturn off/go outโ. Remove the newly cut key from the ignition. It is now programmed.

They are keys. They get the car started and they open the door.
Well, these are keys. How much can you either like or dislike a key? After I got them cut, they both would start the car, and they both would open the door. But that's about it. It didn't keep me awake nights thinking about them..

BOTH PROGRAMED EASY.
These say they do not fit the 2005 scion tc, but purchased anyway, because the maker claimed it did. As I stated, both keys programed fine and on the first try. Now, here might be a problem. I have had two keys cut so far. One of the chipped one's that I purchased, and one from Wal-Mart. The one I purchased from wal-mart, was not a chipped key, but rather one to just unlock the door incase I ever needed to. Both keys are very hard to use. I have to force the keys to unlock the doors, but the chipped does crank the car up fine, but it is a little hard to turn it inside the ignition. Not hard as in hard, but not buttery smoothed either. I will update this once I have the 2nd key cut at a dealership or a locksmith that can cut car keys properly. The chipped key was cut by a old hand worked key cutter, so I saw the difference in the keys right then. So expect a update soon.

Save your money! Won't program
2005 Camry XLE. Okay, I tried both ways to program these. I tried both keys. The same error code blinking always. 2 short then 1. I tried programming them with the Tom's Keys TSL-2 and using the door slam method. No joy. Too many keys is NOT an issue. I cleared all prior keys so the computer reads 1 Master, no Valet. That code has to mean no chip. Or, it's the wrong chip in a Dot stamped key. Either way WORTHLESS! Now I am outside the return window, so I have to eat this one. Don't waste your time and Amazon's money, doing returns. Buy from Tom's Keys or Keyless-Remotes. Little more money; a lot less hassle!

Worked for 2005 Toyota Sequoia Transponder Keys
We had two transponder keys cut for our 2005 Toyota Sequoia at a local locksmith for $10 total. This is the procedure we used to program our keys on 12-31-2024. There are lots of suggestions on the way to do it, and this is what worked for us. Delete Keys: When we began, we deleted all keys except for the one used for the deletion procedure. One of our keys got lost in a school parking lot so we wanted to delete it from the vehicle. It is said that the vehicle memory can store 4 Master keys and 2 Valet keys. We now have 4 programmed Master keys and 0 Valet keys. 1) Close all doors 2) Insert your Master key (black) into the key cylinder 3) Turn the ignition from LOCK to ON 6 times within 15 seconds - on the 6th time, leave the key in the LOCK position 4) Open and close the driver's door 7 times within 20 seconds 5) Remove the Master key 6) Open then Close the driver's door to end the process Add Keys: 1) Close all doors 2) Insert your Master key (black) into the key cylinder 3) Turn the ignition from LOCK to ON 5 times within 15 seconds - on the 5th time, leave the key in the LOCK position (Others have suggested leaving it in ON but that did not work for us.) 4) Open and close the driver's door 6 times within 20 seconds 5) Remove the Master key 6) Insert the new blank key and turn to ON position 7) Leave in ON position for at least 60 seconds (Our Immobilizer light did not blink during registration mode, nor did it turn on or give us any indication when a key registered. We left each key in for 120 seconds and all keys worked.) 8) After 60+ seconds, remove the key 9) Open then Close the driver's door to end the process 10) Test the key to make sure it works. One of our keys hesitated to start the vehicle and it did not start. We started the vehicle with the Master key and then again with the new key and it has worked multiple times since then.

Self program these key with your own car!
Didnโt want to get ripped off by the shop to get duplicate security keys for my car. Got the right security key blanks and you can self program these keys in your own Toyota - depending on the model the method may differ. Saved myself $60 per key!

Cheaper than dealership
These key blanks were just what I need3d for my 2004 Toyota Sienna. All I had to do was get them cut, and like magic, they were able to be paired up with my van without any issue.
