Had no problems with this. I used it to hold a mike at a wedding.

limited room at the top end
The base is heavy, it feels sturdy and solid, operating (extend/lower) is smooth. It looks neat.The reason I give 4 stars only, is that the trigger of hight adjustment is too close to the top so that many classic looking microphones (e.g. Shure 55SH) can't be installed without an extra extension tube.I wish for the next generation, Gator can leave more room to the top end of the post.

Good value for money
Very happy with quality for $. Didn’t use for microphone but have been around other stands and this one is nice. Solid, quick-release adjustment works very well and overall is a nice stand.

The bar keeps falling
When I elevate the bar to my height, it keeps falling and there is nothing to hold it. I hope that I can return it because it's useless if I cannot adjust it to my height.
