ELECTCOM PRO Region-Free DVD Player for TV with HDMI

This is a very nice and user-friendly DVD player that is easy to connect and requires minimal effort. The unit comes with a remote-control unit and is compact in size. The picture clarity is very good, and I already played a few movies on it. This DVD player is a good and solid model that I can recommend to anyone who still has their favorite DVD video library. I highly recommend this unit. Buy it and you will not be disappointed! DVD players are here to stay! Thanks!

I ordered this in 2024, used it with a computer for a while then moved it to the Den...but didn't use it. tried to use it a couple weeks ago, it wouldn't work. I scanned the warranty because it was good for 3 yrs. I then sent a message that I could no longer make it work. The email was answered with an apology and some helpful hints. I was a little busy so I didn't respond right away. A day or so later I received a call from Lovley, a customer service rep. she walked me through several steps to see if we could get it play. we could not. so I was sent a replacement free of charge. replacement was here faster than expected and is working perfectly! Great Customer service!

Update: Aug 17, 2026 I was able to contact the manufacturer directly through their site about the issues mentioned in my original review and they were prompt in providing me a replacement, responding to questions I had, and following up on the quality of the new unit. My new DVD player is working perfectly - exactly what I wanted out of a simple, compact player - and I'm extremely pleased with their customer service. They even helped me troubleshoot a resolution issue that ended up being my TV, not the player. Basic player, nothing fancy but does what I need, and great service to work with. Thank you, ELECTCOM for the response and help. Original Review: I bought this DVD player in March 2026. My roommate and I rarely watch DVDs but we had a few we wanted to access and our old player was bust. I didnt need anything fancy just something to watch DVDs once in a while. As soon as the player arrived, I popped in Pride and Prejudice to make sure it worked. Everything looked fine and the movie played through without problems. Skip ahead to a month later. We tried to play some old Narnia DVDs but they wouldn't register. We'd had problems playing them on a friend's PS4, too, though, so we didn't think much of it. Today I decided to try again and now the thing won't work at all. I've tried different HDMI ports, I tried plugging in the old school inputs. No connection. It won't play anything, even the Pride and Prejudice disc I originally played on it. It simply gives me the ELECTCOM Screensaver (so I know it's connected and the TV recognizes it) but the machine itself says "no CD." You can hear in the video, even, that it initially spins and tries to read it, then just stops spinning. When i call the help line, I only get a busy signal. So now I have two broken DVD players.

This DVD player is extremely easy to set up. Plug it in and connect to your TV and you will enjoy your DVD's right away. I had a problem with the player after a little over 2 years, and I contacted Electcom Pro customer service. They give a 3-year warranty, and they are extremely responsive. I heard from them the next day and they offered to repair or replace my unit. I asked to have it replaced, and within a week I had a new DVD player delivered, all with no cost. Their customer service is amazing...it is super easy to get an answer from them! It is so refreshing to have a company actually stand by their warranty and be willing to satisfy the customer entirely with no hassles. I highly recommend this company.

While it was working, it worked fine. A little over a year after I bought it, I tried to use it and it didn't work. It was of the Amazon return window but I contacted the seller who provided some trouble shooting tips that didn't fix it. When I informed the seller that it still didn't work, they sent a new one to me. I consider the customer service quite good.

This is a great affordable DVD player . It is simple to operate and works as described. However after using g a few times, the player would read “no disc” on certain DVDs. I tried all of the recommended troubleshooting tips to no avail so I then called the company. A very helpful representative named Luvlee was very attentive and promptly replaced the DVD player at no charge to me. The new one is working great now! Excellent customer service!

We bought this so we could watch DVDs we checked out from the library. It’s a basic DVD player, nothing fancy. The remote has too many buttons that don’t (I don’t think) do anything, so that’s confusing. But if you’re looking for something easy and simple - this is your player!

This DVD Player arrived quickly, and was very easy to set up, using the supplied HDMI cable. I like the fact that it is a direct plug-in to the home outlet, ( no wall-wort ). It played DVD's without any special set-up. After a little over 1 year, the unit failed to function anymore ... just died. I contacted the manufacturer to request a warranty replacement. After explaining about the problem, they QUICKLY shipped me a NEW player without hesitations, at no cost. Did not require me to return the original unit. Nice to experience a company that stands behind their product.

I like the DVD/CD Player. It plays all my CD Ballroom Dance Music just fine. Takes a little getting used to the buttons. You have to press Prev/Next to go forward/back and not the arrows. The DVD Player is great. I attach it to my DVD with an HDMI cable and can watch my PAL and NTSC dvd's. I can only do this with the one's that have Subtitles as there is no Closed Caption option in the player itself. That is ok since most of my dvd's have Subtitles. Some of my NTSC Masterpiece dvd's rely on CC so I play these on my other dvd player that can't handle PAL format. I am thinking on buying another player since they work so well on PAL dvd's. Takes getting used to. You have to press the PAL button initially and go into setup before playing movies. I called there support who got back to me immediately and were of tremendous help in getting me over my hump initially.

Heel blij met deze dvd speler: ik heb een aantal series die regio 1 zijn... en dan is een europese dvd speler niet wat je nodig hebt. Ik heb deze dvd speler nu 1 jaar en ben er nog steeds erg blij mee. Mooie kwaliteit, afstandsbediening werkt, overzichtelijk ding. Zoek je een goede en niet al te dure regiovrije dvd speler; dan is deze een aanrader UPDATE REVIEW 2026: in 2022 gekocht en nog steeds werkt de dvd speler goed en zonder problemen. AANRADER
