Perfect for shopping and carrying stuff around the house, A must buy!
These crates were a great buy. I have 2 toddlers and a double stroller and a small car. I needed some handled crates that would fit in a small space. I was looking at the fold-able cloth cubby hole ones and dreading if they got wet. I saw these and the price was right to at least try them out. The fold easily. You just have to push from the bottom on the short sides and they collapse. I can take these into stores that charge for bags (i.e. Aldi). When I am sorting laundry downstairs while the toddlers nap I put their clothes in the totes and place them by their doors. I have used them to carry plants for the garden. I keep two in the car at all times because they are so compact and lightweight they are perfect in case i go to a flea market, large yard sale even the Farmer's Market.I have spratyed mine off with the garden hose or just rinse them in the sink. I would recommend these to anyone who needs totes and has small spaces or is a minimalist.

GREAT crates for grocery shopping!! LOVE these!!!!!
These are GREAT crates. I use them for grocery shopping each week. They are easy to store, transport, fill , and carry. I do not put heavy items in them though. For example I would not put a gallon of milk in them as the handles would break. Of the 3 I have now, one has a handle that broke where it connects to the crate. I think the handle connection should be made to handle more stress. However the crate with the broken handle is still useful, and I am buying a 4th one now. The checkout staff at my grocery store always comment on how easy the are to fill and work with.

floding basket
arived on tim product was a bit smaller than expected but will do the job. I found out the first try just what the handle problem isyes one broke on firsttest use,put some items in it about 10lbs the small hook shaped joint that holds the handle on broke.Cheep desine.I fixed by drilling a sm hole threw the handle then running a sm wire threw the hole and bending to make a better connection.now works fine. Note the whole basket is snapped together to much wt will just pull the top or sides out of the u shaped catch they snap into, final thought ill use carefuly but would not buy again.Update all the hinge joints are braking todays broke with a bag of salid &1 loafOf bread final conclusion DO NOT BUY not well made

Handy but not the strongest design
These are handy little crates, but they're only getting three stars because of a foolish design. As other reviewers have said, the two swivel carrying handles have a tendency to break where they are attached to the upper lip of the basket. I call it a foolish design because there are two 'prongs' on the handles that sit around and under the basket lip. these prongs are not very thick/strong, and they are just prongs - they do not form a solid piece of plastic under the basket lip to support the handle. A handle on one of my baskets broke on only the 2nd or 3rd use - partly my fault. I had the basket in the back of my hatchback so that it would be ready to use. WARNING: heat in your car on a sunny day will further weaken these prongs and handles the plastic gets warm and somewhat malleable. One of the prongs broke. The basket is still usable with the side handles, but not as convenient. Hoping to fix the broken handle.

Perfect for carrying cleaning supplies around the house
I have several of the larger, solid Clever Crates that are collapsible that I use in our SUV when we go to Costco or to the grocery store and really like those (also bought them at Costco for great price.) When I saw this smaller size, I knew that it would be the perfect way to move cleaning materials around the house. If opens easily to accommodate all my cleaning fluids, etc. and when I am done, I collapse it back up and put it on a shelf in my utility closet so it doesn't take up much space.I love all the colors that this comes in and may purchase another one or two in this size and in some of the other sizes. These are just incredibly handy and collapse so well.

get the larger model
great idea, but the 16 liter model is too flimsy. I also own the 46 liter version which is MUCH better. For example, if you were to fill the 16 liter model with loosely packed wires, you'd be fine. If you half filled it, the sides would fall in too easily. And if you put a gallon of milk into it, the handles would just about fall off. Compared to a normal shopping basket, I'd estimate it could hold at most 1/2 of the weight, possibly less. I user them to hold light items in my trunk and prevent them from rolling around, so they work fine for me. And being able to collapse them when not in use or when I need the space is nice too.The larger model however, can take the same amount of weight as a non-collapsible crate of an equal size could handle.Another benefit of the larger model is that a collapsed bin fits nicely on top of an open bin - giving it a top. That is not the case on the 16 liter version, since it has handles that get in the way. It also would have been nice if you could stack the small ones easily on the larger ones - you can not.

Perfect and compact.
Since Walmart put away their small hand baskets I bought this one. I get lots of looks like oh I wish I had one of those. People have commented how nice it worked. When I unload it at checkout I just collapse it into its small skinny shape and carry it out. I've used it 50 times and love it. I am reading about lots of broken handles- -- I carry very heavy loads in groceries in mine and have never even cracked a handle. Maybe I got the good one -- - -

The baskets are sturdy enough, however the handles can use a little ...
They are very practical, although two out of the three baskets lost their handles. The baskets are sturdy enough, however the handles can use a little reinforcement where it attaches, maybe a different material? Overall I like my baskets very much and use them every single week for grocery shopping. I just carry them from the sides now. Two baskets fit perfectly in a small shopping cart and makes packing/unpacking groceries much easier and quicker. I leave one open in the trunk of my car to throw in any loose items carrying for the day. Even though of the handle part, I would recommend.
