It will comeback into stock as soon as they can get more in. It's not a a discontinued Item. If you go on their website they will let you know when you can order it again through amazon or their website by entering your email address . That's how I was able to order it. I had to act fast because they sellout quickly when they do get them in stock.

How do you get the bar placed on your back safely to do squats and lunges?

You can do front squats (basically curl the bar up and rest it on your clavicles) you can also do lunges with it in the same position.

Can you make one at around 21" wide with hooks on the ends for the serious steel bands? Please!

You can use carabiners to attach loop bands.

Are the assembly instruction manual available online? I lost the paper already :(

What instructions? You surely understand what it's for? Hook rubber bands on it and work out. Or if you have a pull down machine, use it there or write to the company who makes them. But surely you must understand how ro use it?
