The Pros:I bought this reasonably priced lamp for my home office, since I often handle very small mechanical and electronic parts. But I didn't have very high hopes that it would be as good as what it turned out to be. Although no detail lamp can every be too bright, this one is very adequate. The magnifying lens is actually decent too, with a large enough lens that's sharp in focus. The gooseneck is also a real pleasure compared to those gangly spring-loaded arms with the elbow in the middle. It's lightweight in comparison as well. The variable brightness and changeable color have also been a welcome convenience. With it, I can adjust for detailed work, or just fill in lighting when using my monitor.The Cons:There are only 2 that I can find and neither is a show stopper. First, I would have liked it better if the controls were on the lamp head itself, rather than mid-cord. Second, the settings are forgotten when power cycled like if you use your computer USB port to power it. This is not a problem if you use the supplied AC adapter.Hmmm... I think I'll buy another for my other work table.

Would make a great craft or bench light. I used it for a non standard use. I installed it on my lathe. Also doubles as a chip shield, but maybe not rated for that. Really helps my old eyes see what is going on at the tool bit. Could be a bit brighter, but is much better than the overhead LED lamp because it puts the light where needed. I need to build a better adjustable mount because the gooseneck does not stay exactly where you want it. It stays pretty good and as expected, but is not precise as I want.

The lamp works as advertised, however, the USB cable that has the controls on it, and powers the lamp, is short. Way too short for larger desks. I had to run it under the desk, to plug into my USB hub. This makes accessing the controls to turn it on/off, change brightness, or change light tone, to be more difficult that it should be. I will be looking for a USB Extension cable to fix the issue.All in all, a decent value for price.

Cheap light will work but need to place on a base that it can securely attach to most tables have a rounded edge and that would not work for this clamp (shallow)

The various option for light intensity and warmth are very good, the unit works well. However, when mounted to the back of a desk it does not adjust well for use at the front of the desk. So, I modified the units method of mounting to provide lighting I needed.

This magnifying lamp is high quality and I love the 3 color temperatures, being able to cycle between them helps me see certain things better depending on the type and amount of ambient light around me.The flex gooseneck is fairly easy to manipulate and holds its position well.The clamp could benefit from being reversible, the only option is to have the flat side on top and the clamp screw on bottom, limiting your clamping options.I personally could have used a larger magnification rate but this one is adequate.

The clamp is too narrow and too short to hold on my desk and work table which have a beveled edge. Another 1/2" of length on the fingers should do it. If the clamp was wider it would have a better hold side to side. The range of motion seems ok, but I would like to see stronger springs as I have had trouble keeping it in some positions.

So product arrived early, yeay, and it was easy to clamp on where ever I wanted it. the arm is good length and all the different levels for the three different light hues are fantastic.
