It's funny but I have several vegetable peelers of different styles. One was my mom and dad's that I like using better than the others. The blade "floats " riding the contour of the vegetable. Taking more peel than vegetable. All the new ones have a fixed blade and are harder to guide. I've looked before and could not find these. Then I saw these and I had to buy two of them. They arrived today very similar in design, a little larger than my original, But functionally exactly the same. I'm so ecstatic to have found these.

These types of peelers are great! The newer ones you cannot peel with as quickly as the old design. I hope they never stop making the old design!

Some old school kitcen tools are still the best and this is one of them. When the peeler I had for 25 yrs finally broke I tried a few newer types that didn't work well. Am thankful to find this simple but excellent peeler on Amazon. Works great, easy to clean, and inexpensive - what more could you ask for!

I have a potato peeler for over 20 years. The new peeler came in and did not last six months. A piece that controls the swivel angle broke and the blade came out. I marked this down as low quality.

Normally I love these. I bought 2 of them and one was dull. :(

Yes, this is how things should be put together. I'll probably have it for 20 years. It peels potatoes.

Almost like grandma had. A bit flimsier though.
