Saltwater durability
I shouldn't tell this one on myself, but I threw the rod and reel in the bay on accident. The reel stayed submerged for at least 2 minutes before we fished it out. Afterwards, I used it for 2 more days without rinsing it off. It was slightly slow on the down stroke of the spool, but other than that it remained very usable.

Nice Reel
Shipped in soft envelope and box was toast but Reel was fine. Great reel just as smooth as my Stradic much nicer that Dawia BG. Took it out and not even a hint of wind knots line flys off the spool for great casting distance. See how it holds up to the salt.

Happy to have it
I bought it for my trip to the Caribbean this year. I loaded it with 150m of 22lb Shimano braided line eight pound backing I also replaced the handle.
