Outward Hound Snoop Interactive Treat Dispensing Dog Toy, Blue, 5"

After a brief introduction my blind foster dog really took to this toy. It's nice and soft, it wobbles and rolls in a fun way, and he can hear and smell the treats at the center but it's just difficult enough for him to get mini biscuits, Cheerios or small bits of kibble out (fortunately they're easy to get into the toy :) He immediately stuck his tongue into it to try to reach the treats, so I'm glad there's a hole at the opposite end for safety like the Kong. One little complaint: they use those plastic clothes tag fasteners to attach their brand tags, and it's difficult to remove those little bits of plastic from the inside once you cut the tags off. They could easily put the tags on the neck to make it much simpler! ETA: my dog is thin-boned, about 40 pounds and he can get his whole lower jaw or a paw into the opening – hasn't gotten stuck yet, but he is vigorously trying to get those treats out, so now that I've noticed this, I will only give him this toy when I can supervise.

My dog loves this. She can bounce it or roll it with her nose to get the treats out. It keeps her occupied and she seems to really enjoy playing with it. The holes are small enough to be a little challenging but not so small that it's impossible get the treats out. This size is great for her, because she can carry it in her mouth, but it also holds about a scoop of her kibble. I'll feed her meals in this sometimes because it is more fun than just eating out of a bowl. The only downside is the rubber material collects hair and dust as it rolls around. Makes you realize how much fur is hiding on your floors. 😀 It rinses off easily though. Overall, this is one of the best dog toys I've purchased. Highly recommend!

I love this toy. It occupies my energetic dog for hours. It is a great material. Thick enough that is cannot be easily chewed on. You pull it open and put your snacks in and roll it back in. Fantastic idea. Don't put anything small in it or it will come out too quickly. I have been breaking up vegetarian rawhide sticks and putting them in it.

This has been an incredible food dispenser to add to our collection. I initially bought it because I was looking for something that didn’t bang around and make as much noise while my dog was eating, and the Snoop meets that need. I have a Doberman. After rolling the Snoop around to dislodge the Nook (during which time as small amount of kibble will fall out) she will pick up the Snoop by inserting her lower jaw in the hole, and grasping the top with her upper jaw, and then she licks out as many kibbles as she can. Then she rolls it around to move the food out from behind the folded section more to the middle, where she can lick out the kibbles, and keeps repeating this until she finishes. Obviously this is not the way it will work for every dog, particularly if they don’t have a long snout. It usually takes 8-10 minutes for her to eat a cup of food, as opposed to >1 minute if she we’re eating from a bowl. So it works as both a slow feeder and enrichment for my dog. Since I use it for mealtime (rather than treats) I generally take it away once my dog finishes eating. She seems to enjoy the texture and while she’s not a super chewer, she is strong and I don’t want to take any chances. Besides, it’s much easier to clean if I don’t let it sit around attracting dust and crumbs and lint (which it really does, people are not exaggerating!) I generally plop it in a dishpan filled with warm soapy water, do a little swish and wipe it, then rinse it right off and haven’t had any problems cleaning it. All that said, after two months of daily use I’ve noticed that the material is developing something like stress cracks around the spot where it “folds” and I didn’t remember reading about that in other reviews. This is an important tool for me during the puppy phase so I will still order another Snoop, despite that fact that I generally prefer longer lasting products. I will point out that the way the company attaches the tag by putting the plastic loop through the orbee-tuff material makes it annoying to remove at best, and potentially worse if you can’t fully remove the plastic ends from the material.

I know I need to give this toy some time but wow did it keep my 6 month old lab mix busy, engaged, and upset with me when I took it away after an hour of play 🤣 love the minty smell, was easy to wipe and after all of the plastic kids toys that have been chewed in my house the past week this one looks like it might actually withstand a bit longer than I anticipated. Time will tell though. Will come back and update if I feel different in a few weeks 🙂

I FINALLY found an interactive toy my mini Goldendoodle cannot destroy! He loves the challenge this toy brings him and it yay(!) keeps him occupied happily for quite a while! You can fill this with different kinds of treats and they all work, but chicken jerky works the best as it's more of a challenge, cut up of course!

I really like the item & so does my dog but, the top opening is cracking (or splitting) & I don't know why. He doesn't chew that part because it inside. So I don't get it. And it starting doing it shortly after I started using it. Rather disappointing. He likes rolling it around so the food comes out & he eats slower.

This has been one of the best dog toy purchases I’ve made to date. We got 2 back in December 2024 the toys are still totally intact. They play with this thing! They get their food/treats in it. We play fetch with it. We play tug-of-war. my dog’s use it like a little security blanket for them, when they get really excited it’s usually one of the toys they go to and pick up and just walk around with. I purchased the biggest one they had and it’s a great size for my yellow and chocolate labs. It’s also really easy to clean which is huge cause I don’t have a dishwasher so being able to easily wash by hand is a must. If they ever breakdown I am definitely going to purchase again.

My dog says it all. He loves it and it keeps him busy for quite some time. Even when there’s nothing inside!

Great product! My mini dachshund loves it! And I like that he has to work hard-ish to get paid. Zero complaints.
