To the one reviewer “ DO NOT BUY!!!! Kills fish AND plants.” Polyquat Algaecide kills the algae. So the algae is no longer producing oxygen. Also, the dead algae uses oxygen as it breaks down. So very important to keep oxygen levels high. This product works as described. But you must keep oxygen levels up.

We started having some green algae forming on the tube of our fountain. Within one week of use, all the green in gone. Would recommend for Ceramic Pot fountains.

Use it regularly in fountains and waterfaalls. It doesn't kill the mosquito fish but it controls the moss.

Excellent product! It’s more effective than any other product I have tried and the results last much longer.

If I could give negative stars I would. The video for this product shows a woman putting it into her Koi pond which gives the illusion it is safe for Koi. It also states in its advertising to be safe for fish and plants. This product almost killed my entire Koi pond. I spent 16 hours emptying my pond in a panic because all of my fish were gasping for air, I have a 5000 gallon Koi pond with plenty of aeration as well as a large waterfall . I spoke to numerous specialist, who all told me this product should be taken off the market as it is poison. It has misleading claims and misleading advertising. I can’t stress enough not to buy this product. In addition to killing 2 baby fish, it also killed plants in my pond. This product needs to be taken off the market!!! I cannot stress enough, not to buy this product.

Works great! Keeps the algae in our pond at bay! The goldfish would thank me for the clean and clear water!

I guess the algae in my small decorative pond needed more like a professional cleaning first before using this product.
