Fantastic insight to a very niche topic.
Marxism has typically seen as having triumphed over Stirners Egoism, but this book re-examines the topic to show it really didn’t.The book firstly introduces Hegalianism, which both parties were a member of the Young Hegalians. Next an introduction to Stirner and his Philosophy of Egoism which has very little press compared to Marx and Marxism. Philip compares similarities and differences between between the two at first.Next is a rundown of Marx’s criticism of Egoism, which was actually published in 1932, way after they both died. The author does a great job summing up the key points of Marx’s massive critique of Stirner in “The German ideology.”Philip then picks apart Marx’s critique, as well as a modern critique of Stirner by Helms. Showing that Egoism is still a viable alternative to those interested in Marxism yet want to keep their individuality.Would recommend to those interested in Egoism, Marxism and philosophy in general. Great introduction to both philosophies.

First commercial book that I've found comparing Stirner with Marx. So that's something. Reading it now.
